Today's article I will be sharing with you guys how you can start and create a YouTube channel on your phone and things you'll be needing to be able to start and create YouTube channel using your phone to be able to create a YouTube channel, the first thing you have to do is to create or have a Gmail account guys I am going to take some minutes and really talk about this Gmail account thing. When you start a YouTube channel if you already have a Gmail account please create a new one and the new one you create for your YouTube channel make sure nobody knows about it didn't show it on your videos on your video description or in your video description whatsoever unless someone you trust or you guys run the channel together either than that anybody who gets access to your Gmail account can hack into your YouTube channel and the password as well because the Gmail account that you're going to create connects to the YouTube channel if you don't have the gmail account or if you lose the Gmail account or if somebody is able to hack into your Gmail account practically the person has hacked into your YouTube all I am trying to say is that make sure you don't share it with anybody so if you have an old one or one that you're already using create a new one for your YouTube channel.
So the first thing you need do is to create a new gmail account so I am going to do that real quick I just created a new gmail account and before I forget you have to get two Gmail accounts or if you can use your old one as your business Gmail account and then create this new one for the new YouTube channel or if you want it to be personal like differentiate your business from your personal account you can create two Gmail accounts, so you're going to have three Gmail accounts one for your personal use or that old one that you had then the second one will be for your YouTube channel and the third one for business collaborations because um when people want to cooperate with you, or do business with you they have to find a medium through when they can contact you, so you have to create a new Gmail for them, and you put that one in your video description so that whenever they want to contact you for a collaboration they can be able to do So, after creating the new email you then go to the YouTube app. Then when you go to the app you just click on the profile picture here and click on sign in, so this is the Gmail we just created
So you click on that So these are signing in onto the phone. So you can click on the profile picture again then you click on your channel so here it says that how you appear, so you have to change your photo or take a new one, so you're going to click on here then choose a photo from your gallery, so I am going to save it after i save the next one is name so if you like to change the name that appeared on the Gmail and change it to another name for your YouTube channel you can do that so to do that you click on the pencil here then you delete the name that is there, and then you can input your name, so I am going to say xenon all right, so it says visible to all, you users on YouTube changes made to your name are visible only on YouTube and not other google services so all these changes you've made is just on YouTube okay after you've done all this the next thing you do is click on create channel so there you have it the channel has been created, so now you have the button where you can upload a video which is the middle one this one the plus.
So if you want to upload a video you just click on upload video it takes you to your gallery you select the video you would like to upload, and then you continue then if you want to upload shots you just click on it and then it continues in that order so let's go ahead and add other things i just want to take you through, so you click on your channel and here it says the edit channel so here any changes that you made during the creation you can just edit it right here the name you can change the name again here if you want and then the picture again you just click on it, and then you select it then this one is uh called a YouTube channel ads if you like to add a YouTube channel as you click on the camera then you click on choose photo.
So if you like to adjust it you adjust and then when you're done you click on save the channel banner has been updated so that you have the YouTube channel by now then the next thing you would have to do is to add a description, so the description talks about like what your channel is about like what you do on your channel so and all of that whatever thing you want to write you can add, so I will put an example of that on the screen of how my looks like, so you click on the pencil, and then you add whatever thing you want to add so this is an example of what you can write you can just look at my about and just find something and write about it so when you're done you click on this one and then there you have it so the privacy if you want to keep all your subscriptions private you can on it if you want to keep all your save playlist private you can on it when you're done you just go back here and then all the changes she made who now reflects hey so here it says great if you want to create a new video you just click here as well, and then you can upload a new video a shot or you can go live then videos no video yet playlists we don't have any playlist yet channel no channel is featured yet and then about and then this is your YouTube link mostly when we create a new YouTube channel we want to tell our friends and family about it.
So you can click on it, and then you just copy it right here, and then you can send it to whoever so the person can visit your YouTube channel and then subscribe to it so after creating the YouTube channel the next thing is to go to your YouTube studio app so when you open it, says welcome to YouTube studio sign in to track and manage your channel from anywhere, so you click on sign in then you select your account then there you have it I have no subscriber count it's not available everything is just zero, so whatever thing you do on your channel if you upload a video to show here if you get a subscriber it shows here, so this is like a place where you can track your channel growth on your phone PLEASE you need to protect your YouTube channel from being hacked and to be able to do this first you have to create a two-step verification on Gmail okay just go to Gmail
So to do that just go to Gmail click on this one and click on manage your gmail google account you go to security then here it says that two-step verification is off, so you click on it, and then you just start stretch the verification okay so to be able to add one you click on let's get started then you enter your password then you click on next so use your phone number as your second step to sign in after you sign in your password google prompts are securely sent to every phone where you are signed in just tap the notification to review and sign in I am just signing to this i phone right now, so I am just going to click on continue then almost there add a backup, so you can add a number or a number that they can also use for a two-step verification google will use this number for account security don't use a Google voice number message and data rates may apply so you if you don't want it this way you can choose to use another backup option but if you like it this way you click on send, so they're going to send a code to this number real quick click on next then it says turn on twister verification after all this you click on turn on.
So it says that you recently turned on two-step verification for my account, so now it's turned on it's very important guys to have this turned on for your youtube channel the second thing for you to do is to create a strong password guys strong passwords are very, very important don't just use a phone number or just six-letter words or eight letter weights or something you use strong passwords okay, So I am going to give you a tip I just use random sentences random words random numbers sometimes somebody was okay I might forget that's fine but whenever you are doing it write it down somewhere then you input it as your password so whenever you want to use it you just go for it wherever you hide it then you use it okay that's what I do you just don't have to remember as I am sitting here if you put this knife on my throat I am not going to remember my password I don't even know it but I have it written somewhere
