Want to create a smooth business presentation without turning to PowerPoint or Keynote?  If you are ready to learn how to create a presentation that will impress your colleagues and supervisors, this is the article for you.  We'll show you the best techniques for Google Slides so you can be confident in delivering your reports in any room!

Step 1: How to create a presentation

Once you're planning your presentation and downloading the premium Google Slide presentation template, it's time to learn how to create a slide.  Get started by opening your Google Drive and clicking the New button in the top left corner.  Next, click the Google Slide button from the drop-down menu.

After opening the new presentation, select the template or use the recommended one, you must first upload it to your Google Drive.  Drag and drop the .PPTX file into the Google Drive browser and then double-tap it.  Next, select Open with Google Slides, and you're ready to work on it.

Step 2: How to add text, images and other media

This is one of the most important areas when learning how to create a presentation.  The words you choose for your story will help your words tell your story when deciding how your story should look.  If you work with a template, slides usually contain text boxes and slots for dragging pictures or videos.

To add your own text, select the Text box button, click where you want to place the text, and start typing in the box.  Similarly, insert an image, select Insert> Image from the main menu and upload the image from your computer or find one online using the built-in box.  To add audio, select the audio option to see how to create a slide with music or sound effects.

Step 3: Set your presentation to play automatically (or loop)

If you want to learn how to create PowerPoint in Google Docs, which can be published online, set it to run automatically whenever you open it.  Fortunately, slideshows published online have the option to run automatically on Google Slides.  Click File> Web Options and select Start Slideshow as soon as the player loads.

You can also run your Google slideshow in loops.  This allows you to automatically restart your presentation when the presentation is over.  Click Restart Slideshow after the last slide checkbox on the left.

Step 4: Change the look and feel of your presentation

Even if you use a template, you can always change the look and feel of the presentation.  If you do not share your creative expression, what is Google Slides used for?  Google's layout, creativity and innovative techniques are some of the key differences between G Suite vs Office 365.

Making changes to your presentation theme allows you to access different primary slides and layouts.  You can change the color or font of the text on any slide.  You can further adjust your presentation if you need to.

Step 5: Save, reset or export your presentation

With Google Slides, you can easily save your slideshow.  Your presentation is automatically in the cloud, so changes will be saved automatically as you work.  However, Google Slides will save previous versions of your presentation as well - click on File> Version History> Version History in the main menu.
