How to Cool Yourself Without Air Conditioning?

Heat making you miserable? It's really tricky to get comfortable or sleep if you're sweaty and hot. If you don't have access to air conditioning, don't despair! There are some tricks you can use to stay cool when you're outside in the sun or inside without an AC unit. While you may want to invest in a few fans, you can try most of these tips without spending any money.

 

 

01, Put a wet handkerchief on your neck?

                Wet a handkerchief, bandana, or other cloth with cool water. Wrap it around the back of the neck and, for some, the instant heat relief. When it's dry, pat it up again and repeat the process if necessary![1] 

 


Please keep in mind that it's on a napkin, a small puddle of water on the back, and a little wet on the t-shirt.

02.Run cool water on your wrists.                     Turn on a cold tap and hold your wrists under the water for a minute. It's with your heart points as the heat outside. 05, Rig a DIY air conditioner with a fan and ice.

You can also use a glass bowl to do to get similar results. Plastic bowls and are less efficient. 
A little less clutter to fill a big plastic water bottle 3/4 full with water and freeze it. Place a frozen bottle on the front side of the fan instead of a bowl of ice cream. Place the bottle back in the fridge to let it harden. Please keep in mind that it may be less effective than using a glass or metal bowl.

Close windows and blinds during the day.

Open the windows at night.

Swap out your bedding with cool sheets.

Move your mattress to the floor.

Turn on box or ceiling fans.

Dress in lightweight, loose-fitting clothes.

 

 

Drink water throughout the day.

Stock up on cool treats to eat.
