HOW TO COOK HEALTHY

Who can resist tempting pictures in a cookbook? Who doesn't have childhood memories of the smells wafting from the kitchen on holidays, and even on ordinary, ordinary days? Spices, bread baking, cookies fresh out of the oven - all of this creates a deep desire in most of us. Because food has a guaranteed place in everyone's daily schedule, so do those who prepare it. They have become the uncrowned gods and goddesses of our lives.

There's more to real cooking than opening a can with a frosted picture of green beans on the front or popping a TV dinner from a wax-covered box into the oven or microwave. The real purpose of cooking is to nourish these wonderful bodies we live in, to allow them to grow and express vitality and strength, to keep them healthy and able to overcome germs and bacteria in the environment. In a nutshell, the main purpose of cooking is the moor!

When do fruits or vegetables (or any baked goods) give us the most nutrition? Experts believe that foods grown in their own environment usually contain the most nutrients. Freshly harvested foods provide maximum nutritional value. After a fruit or vegetable has been lying for several days or has been transported around the world, the value of vitamins and minerals decreases.

The best way to "cook" fruits and vegetables for their health value is to eat them raw in salads or as snacks. Once heat is applied, a large amount of nutrition is destroyed. A good cook can prepare a beautiful plate with the natural colors of freshly picked fruits and vegetables.

Genetically modified foods have infiltrated the cultivation of almost all crops. This procedure did not exist until the last decade and remains highly controversial because the long-distance effect on humans has never been tested.

In a nutshell, the practice involves infecting a healthy seed or grain with various bacteria or insects to extend its shelf life so that it looks "pretty" to the consumer long after the nutritional value has dissolved. Not only does this have a negative effect on a person's health, but it leaves the cook with a less than delicious product to serve.

Cooking with natural foods that are grown organically (meaning without harmful pesticides or chemical fertilizers) gives today's health-conscious cooks the best chance to enjoy their time shopping and in the kitchen. Whipping up a carrot cake that will wow family and friends (it's best to make two cakes while you're at it) or whipping up a quick but nutritious breakfast so your body can happily tackle the day's challenges without the coffee or caffeine rush, make a trip to the kitchen favorite part of the day! The cook is truly the god of the household!

All too often people overlook the importance of using the right tools when cooking quality meals. While there is nothing in the world that can quite compare to cooking with the finest, freshest ingredients, these things can only be made better by using the perfect tools for the job.
