Since ancient times, the human philosophers have realized the importance of the mind in governing the human affairs. They knew that a person’s external circumstances were the result of his internal thoughts also called "Law of Attraction". Which mean if the person thinks of riches, he would have riches, while if the thoughts are of poverty, success and failure would produce the corresponding effects in the person’s circumstances. Today, modern science has acknowledged the truth of these circumstances. Even they proved about "Law of attraction" in human lifestyle. Hence, it becomes very important for a person to control his mind
There has so many specific techniques in Yoga which deal with the science of mind control. The nature of the mind is to play a very crucial role in our life. Shnkracharya has defined the mind in four different ways as following:
(a)Mind for the job of resolving and doubting.
(b) Wisdom for the decision and judgment.
(c) Ego, for the consciousness of its individual existence.
(d) Worry about remembering the previous experiences.
Our Mind is a vast collection of thoughts and experiences. When we are born, our mind is the collection of sacraments collected over the previous births. The sacraments whose fruits have already been enjoyed have been wiped out. But as we grow up, new sacraments are being added continuously due to various acts performed by us from birth to death. This translates into the law of our doing which states that the events one faces in his life are the results of the activities done by us in the past and his mind at birth contains the sacraments from his previous births
Yoga recognizes five factors basic to the mind of every person. These factors are called
Tribulation because these are the forefathers of every human misery. They are:
a) The false knowledge or ignorance of one’s true self in relation to the objects
b) Ego feeling
c) Attachment
d) Grudge or aversion to pain.
e) Fear of death.
Yoga understands the human behavior from the perspective of these five qualities, which are assumed to be present in a person since birth and are considered as the impurities of the mind. They make a person unbalance and upset. Hence, yoga has given way of meditation to pure your mind and heart. And also always remember "Law of Attraction". It will work if you work on it. It means focusing on a desire long enough to get a clear and detailed picture of it. The secret law of attraction is only for people who believe in the evidence of things not seen and are patient enough to wait for them to show up. The secret is out, and you can use it to enjoy health, wealth, romantic love and happiness.
And the last thing, devotion and faith play a vital role to control your mind. The devotee is supposed to be highly religious, should adopt a friendly stance towards all the other living beings including animals, read religious texts, concentrate on the symbol of the Divine, think and wish well for others etc. The beauty of this yoga lies in its simplicity. This has made it one of the most appealing of all the yoga types. Following this yoga develops the peace of mind in an individual. A peaceful individual will always think happy and prosperous thoughts and will thus lead a happy life.
