HOW TO CONTROL DIABETES

SOME   FOODS HELP TO MANAGE DIABETES:

1.BROCCOLI:

Broccoli  may also help manage your blood sugar levels. One study found that consuming broccoli sprouts led to a reduction in blood glucose in people with diabetes, This reduction in blood glucose levels is likely due to  a chemical in calciferous vegetables like broccoli and sprouts. Broccoli  is very low in carbohydrates.  A hundred of grams of broccoli only contains 7 grams of carbohydrates. According to experts, diabetics should opt for a low-carb diet as it helps keep the blood sugar levels in control.

2. BEANS:

Beans contain carbohydrates, they are low on the glycemic index (GI) scale and do not cause significant spikes in a person's blood sugar levels. Beans are a complex carbohydrate. The body digests this form more slowly than other carbohydrates, helping to keep blood sugar levels stable for longer. A   cup of beans or lentils each day, when combined with a low-glycemic diet, may help lower blood sugar levels and coronary artery disease risk in patients with type 2 diabetes. Legumes help dampen blood sugar responses and lower blood pressure.

3.SEEDS AND NUTS:
Flaxseeds, almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, macadamia nuts, pistachios, cashew nuts, chia seeds, are the best nuts and seeds for diabetics as they reduce and regulate the insulin levels in the body.   • Quinoa has a glycemic index of around 53, meaning it won't cause as dramatic a spike in blood sugar. This is because it contains fiber and protein, both of which slow the digestion process. The  dietary fiber content in quinoa is also higher than the content for many other grains. This means that quinoa can be particularly beneficial for people with diabetes, since fiber and protein are considered important for keeping blood sugar under control.
5.OATMEAL:
  • It can help regulate blood sugar, thanks to the moderate to high fiber content and lower glycemic index. It heart-healthy due to its soluble fiber content and the fact it can lower cholesterol.

Oatmeal, that hearty, humble breakfast staple, can be a great addition to a diabetes diet. A widely available whole grain, oats are rich in fiber along with essential minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron.

6.CINNAMON:

Cinnamon may help lower blood sugar and fight diabetes by imitating the effects of insulin and increasing glucose transport into cells. It can also help lower blood sugar by increasing insulin sensitivity, making insulin more efficient at moving glucose into cells.

7.FATTY FISH:

Salmon have excellent amount of Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) which is good for diabetics. The patients need good fat in their diet, and fish reduce inflammation and coronary risks, which are common in diabetes. Getting  enough of these fats on a regular basis is especially important for people with diabetes, who have an increased risk of heart disease and stroke. DHA and EPA protect the cells that line your blood vessels, reduce markers of inflammation, and may help improve the way your arteries function.

8.SPINACH:

Spinach is a veggie that is low in carbohydrate content, which keeps diabetes in check. Spinach is super-low in calories, and foods that have few calories are generally responsible for stabilizing blood sugar levels. Moreover, low-calorie foods also help maintain your weight, which is crucial for diabetics.

9.MIRO BURST:
