How to Conquer Anger

Anger can be defined as a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure or hostility.

Anger can further be identified as an emotion characterized by antagonism towards someone or something that has been deliberately initiated and at the same time causes irritation or upset towards you. However, we can all agree that anger is an emotion and emotions are connected with feelings.

Like Feelings, they are primarily associated with situations that can cause feelings of happiness, sadness, doubt, disbelief, fear, adoration, horror, disgust, joy, pain, and the list of emotions goes on and on and on.

Just as each individual controls these emotions, the emotion of anger can and should be controlled as well. The funny thing is that most people have no control over the emotion called anger.

The mere fact that anger is one of the few emotions that people find so difficult to control is that anger is more in control than the person experiencing the emotion.

This can be verified by the number of court cases on the dockets that deal with criminal domestic violence.

It's not that anger is so strong that it can't be controlled, but the focus and reality is that people really don't know how to control their emotions of anger.

This causes problems and hurdles in the life cycle as there is usually a need to get a lawyer, meet a court date, pay a fine or spend some time in jail.

Anger almost always results in the destruction of physical and/or personal property.

Most people resort to acting on the side of the emotion of anger, which ends in destruction.

Before one can learn how to control anger situations, one must know how to define anger.

What is Anger?

Once the definition of anger is defined and understood, the next step is to learn the effects of anger, learn to identify anger, learn to control the emotion of anger, and learn to program yourself to the point where thought prevails over destructive action begins.

The effect or should I say the results of the emotion of anger can have a detrimental effect on a person's physical condition and this can cause aggravating health problems such as high blood pressure, increased anxiety and headaches to name a few.

Chances are, anyone who faces a situation that leads to anger will never think about resolving the incident before taking action.

Most people dealing with anger will undoubtedly follow their emotions, and if they do, the situation will likely end in some type of destruction.

Most people experiencing fear will scream and those experiencing happiness will laugh.

Anyone experiencing grief will cry.

For every emotion, there is a reaction.

So why is there no response to anger?

People react differently and according to the situation they are in.

But statistics have shown that anger is not controlled, rather anger tends to take over the situation.

Anger often results in black eyes, busted lips, broken ribs, holes in walls, broken furniture, broken dishes and utensils… and the list goes on and on!

Courtrooms and defense attorneys' offices are littered with accusations of violent acts by defendants, most of whom are remorseful.

Money and time are forever lost to the consequences of anger, and actions seem to prevail over thought.

It shouldn't be because we are the most intelligent species on Earth.

So why can't we control our anger?

That's why I'm providing sensitive information here that may lead to different results.
