You can get new thoughts by adopting a new perspective on things. One way for you to do this is to challenge existing assumptions. For example, is love really a feeling of desire or attachment? It's a common belief, but what if you challenge it?
A New Thoughts on Love
Desire and attachment can be strong feelings, and they are often called love in certain contexts. However, attachment can happen for bad reasons too, right? Your wishes can also come at least from great places. Do you know what is the alternative definition of love?
Do you know how about recognition of value? Seeing the value inherent in any person, such as the beauty you see in a painting or hear in a melody. One does not even need to be attached or desire beauty to enjoy it. People just have to recognize it. The joy that people take in the existence of another may be the definition of love. At least one of your feelings. People love the season that they like and it captivates their mind again and again.
You know, love is more than a feeling, though. How much love does a mother have for her children if she feels affection for them, but does not feed them? In this context love should involve action, or not it?
This points up the real problem with defining concepts like love. There are seven or eight or maybe a hundred things you want to communicate. They are different from each other, yet you have only one word for them. Maybe instead of redefining love, you'd have to make up a dozen new words. Now a field can be created for some new thoughts.
Randomly New Thoughts
Another way to have new thoughts is to just look for new thoughts to replace old ones. You then expand on the new thoughts to see how much value you can find in it. Here are some examples of new thoughts for you, without elaborating on them (help yourself).
- Why do you encourage people in uniform to vote? Maybe it is better to encourage people not to vote until they are ready to educate themselves on the issues.
– Is multitasking really a sign of efficiency? Maybe we need to be so busy to get what you want, it shows that our actions aren’t effective enough.
- Why can't people pay less for the surgeon who kills more people on the operating table? Why not recognize that there are better and worse doctors, That information is available, and should be paid accordingly?
– How about wonder instead of faith? Faith is just believing without reason. To marvel at the wonder world and accept that you don't have a reason or an explanation for everything.
Lastly, what if your level of creativity, and ability to come up with new ideas is simply not something that is determined at birth. What if it is a systematic process that cannot be identified by those who use it, but can be recognized and copied? You can take all the training ourselves to have creative new thoughts.
