Depending on tank size, a freshwater fish tank requires 30 minutes to an hour of work per week.
You will need:
1) You will need a clean 5-liter bucket that has no chemicals or soap in it.
2) Hose or clean gravel
3) A bag of natural or synthetic sea salt
I divided the work into two parts of a tank that needed to be cleaned every week on the same day and filters that could be cleaned every 2 or 3 weeks.
Before you start cleaning your fish tank, the first thing to do is to remove your tank heater if you have one. The heater cannot be removed from the water while it is hot, so be sure to leave it unattended for at least 20 minutes before trying to remove it. Water helps to cool the glass in the heater; when removed, it may crack, or the glass may break completely. It would help if you also remembered to never put your hand inside any fish tank before making sure that the heater is not only turned off but not off the wall. A small crack in the heater can be more than enough to create a panic that can kill you.
After the heater has time to cool down, you can safely remove the heater from the tank, or the heater is underwater, and you can press it down to the bottom of the tank.
Now take any decoration you might put in the tank, so all you have is a little dust at the bottom; this will allow you to find any dirt that may have been covered. Now, if you don’t have a place to clean the gravel, you will have to fold your arms and wet your hands. You will need to stir the stones to get the dirt settled in the middle of the kilogram into the water and then pump the water into the bucket with a hose. Do not throw away the water. You will still need to clean the filters.
If you have a stone cleaner, press the plastic tube on the gravel until it hits the bottom of the tank, then start the siphon in the bucket; every second or every second, move the gravel cleaner over an inch or 2 and repeat this process until you remove the percentage 15 of your water tanks clean all the stones.
Now at this time, you can clean the Aquariums' filters. The inside of the filters is used to grow bacteria, which help to break down nitrites and nitrates in water from fish waste and unhealthy foods. Take out all the filters, wash them in a bucket of dirty water in the Aquarium, give the sponge a few pins in the bucket, mix the filters, and put them in a tank.
Now before adding sea salt should be added to the tank. All water has a certain amount of salt in it, and replenishing the fish's natural environment should be salty in your tank. Add about 1 cup of sea salt to every 50 liters of water.
You can now add water to the tank, but you must make sure that the water is at the right temperature of the water in the tank. Significant changes in tank temperature can scare fish and kill them or reduce their immune system and help give them fish disease. I recommend filling the bucket with hot water and checking it regularly until it matches the tanks' temperature, then adding a little water to the tank, start filtering and heater.
Cleaning filters need to be done once or twice a month, but tank water should be cleaned on the same day every week.
