Art education is crucial for the children's development. Many school boards feel that art education is not a necessity and not very important in the lives of today's students. Art classes are constantly compared to the main core classes, such as math and English. Many people feel that core classes are much more valuable to a child's education, which is why art may be cut first from schools if there is low funding. Art classes offer children critical lessons about life that they are not exposed to in any of the other classes. Art teachers drive the creativity and the imagination of students, while allowing students to express themselves.
Since 1990s STEM is a term used to refer education policies to improve competitiveness in science and technology development. But is much more, because it has implications for workforce development, teaching frameworks, industries, no formal education, etc. Is a term which also involves the equity of a country and some challenges like the gender gap.
Among Mongolia's next generation of pro-democracy leaders is Bolorsaikhan Badamsambu, who works with Mongolia's youth on civic education. Badamsambu is the vice coordinator of the "All for Education!" campaign, which is part of the National Civil Society Coalition of Mongolia. The global campaign works to influence civil society participation, implement non-discriminatory services and advocate for education across all sectors of society.
Art education is very important in schools and the above literature supports why art education is necessary. Art is all around us, and creating art allows children to envision and understand the world on a different level in ways that are not discusses other content areas. Removing art in schools would take away a child's opportunity to learn creatively and expressively. Art educators play an important role to inspire children and guide creativity, growth, and understanding the world.
The oil activity out west and the statewide economic growth required increased spending on infrastructure, social services, K-12 education, higher education and other programs that continue to be a priority for the citizens of North Dakota. K-12 education, human services and higher education accounted for 69.2 percent of general fund appropriations for the 2015–17 biennium. To continue funding these priorities, the state needs strong revenues, but over the past eight years the Legislature has reduced the tax revenue by slashing tax rates.
The Greatest loser in all this, is the Nigeria education system, people seem not to understand this: first it was is Senior Secondary School Certificate, which bore only three credit, (how did he get admitted) then came the self-contradictory statements of "I have seven degrees", (which schools?) the NYSC service year of 1999, which didn't correlate to his graduating date of 2000 told to Nigerians by the Vice Chancellor of ABU.
Education can be thought of as the transmission of the values and accumulated knowledge of a society. In this sense, it is equivalent to what social scientists term socialization or enculturation. Children—whether conceived among New Guinea tribespeople, the Renaissance Florentines, or the middle classes of Manhattan—are born without culture. Education is designed to guide them in learning a culture, molding their behaviour in the ways of adulthood, and directing them toward their eventual role in society. In the most primitive cultures, there is often little formal learning—little of what one would ordinarily call school or classes or teachers. Instead, the entire environment and all activities are frequently viewed as school and classes, and many or all adults act as teachers. The outcome is formal education—the school and the specialist called the teacher.
