How to choose a good wired earphones ?

As we in our daily life use technology very frequently, one of the unique inventions of technology, without which we will be lost and privacy, would be in danger, i.e., earphones or headphones.

We are mainly focusing on wired earphones in this article as they are handy and can be wrapped and kept in any corner of your pocket or bag etc. And they are not needed to be charged or don’t require extra care.

Tips for choosing a wired earphone:-

  • Generic or branded category

Only purchase a branded and favorite earphone as they will provide excellent and quality products.

  • Good build quality.

Go with a braided cable and with good quality plastic built. Don’t buy steel or other metal earphones as they will be heavy and even shock when connected to pc or laptops. Another option is to go for a combo of braided and TPU cable but see that the majority part is braided.

  • Tangle-free design

Do look for an earphone that is tangle-free as we are looking for total wired earphones that will get tangled easily….and whenever you need it, it will take time first to separate it.

  • All three button functions

Take an earphone with function buttons mainly with all three buttons – Volume up/Previous song, Volume down/Next piece and Hang up call/Pick up call/Pause & play music.

  • Microphone

Having a microphone in an earphone is a must as you will be using it more frequently, and it also protects you from the radiation your phone emits while having regular talking on phones. And the microphone is also good to voice command to your phone.

  • 3.5mm (three circles) earphone jack

Always buy a headphone jack with three circles in it, two are for audio, and the third is for the mic support, so it’s a way to check if your earphone has a microphone or not.

Also, buy a gold-plated earphone jack as it will provide good sound quality, but if other things are good, you can go for the silver-plated ones, not much difference.

  • More than 10mm drivers

Drivers are basically for the Bass, treble, and sound stable sound effects. Atleast 10mm drivers are necessary for good sound quality.

  • Angled earphone jack

This is my personal favorite as it prevents the earphone jack from breaking or the wire from cracking. Being angled gives you the freedom to put it your and sit, sleep, etc.

  • Angled or bent earbuds

Nowadays, most earphones have angled earbuds so that it can fit your ear well and also blocks a decent amount of outside noise. It also prevents the earbuds from falling from your you a bit.

  • Less than 15gms of weight

Using light-weight earphones doesn’t cause ear pain and even will not fall easily. As in 2021, most earphones are 12 to 14gms, so no worries, be careful before buying.

  • Colors variant available

As earphones will be used daily, look for a good color or unique one among them. And it looks good and excellent too.

Optional features :

  • Cable organizer – To keep your earphone in a managed way so that they can be in good condition for a long time.
  • Earphone pouch/box – If the brand provides a pouch for the earphones well and good…it will be helpful, but it doesn’t, then buy one.
  • Extra ear tips – Most brands provide different earbuds but still check for them as some earphones have colored earbuds. If one is lost, then it will look odd.
  • Length of the earphone’s wire – Good to see the size as it can cause many problems while using it…if there’s a cable organizer, then no issue.

If you check for the above features and then purchase an earphone, then you’ll never regret your decision and save your money.

My suggestion is Realme Buds 2 (Green) used it for almost 1year and then recently lost it. No complaints as it was giving the same sound quality as on the first day…As I liked the green color, which is unique and light. All the above listed a feature is it. Do check it.
