How to care skin in monsoon season

In the rainy season,  humidity sweat catches dirt pollutants and clogs the pores, leading to skin infections. To prevent these problems, you have to follow a skincare routine. Give some extra attention to your skin according to season. Here are some tips.

Washing face

Wash face 3-4 times daily. It helps to remove dirt, dust, and excess oil from the skin. Your face looks fresh and oil-free.

Use cleanser

Cleansing helps to remove dust, particles, pollutants, makeup. It cleanses skin pores deep inside. It helps to prevent acne, blemishes, and pigmentation. Use a gentle cleanser or homemade cleanser like milk, olive oil.

Exfoliate

Exfoliate skin 2 times a week. It removes dead cells and helps to repair flaky skin. Exfoliating is also useful to prevent further skin infections like acne blemishes. Use gentle scrubs. You can make homemade scrubs using olive oil, sugar, lemon juice, and honey.

Don’t forget toner

Toning your face is essential. It shrinks open pores and tightens your skin. Be careful about choosing toner. Use alcohol-free toner. You can use homemade toner using rose water and tea tree oil.

Moisturize regularly

Moisturizing your skin is an integral part of the skincare routine all season, so in this season too. It keeps skin hydrated, smooth, and soft. It protects skin cells and keeps skin hydrated. It also keeps your skin oil-free as much as possible. Use moisturizer regularly.

Use sunscreen

The harmful effects of UV rays still affect the skin in monsoons. To avoid this problem, the application of sunscreen is needed. Use a water-resistant sunscreen. In monsoon, humidity increases, so use gel-based sunscreen. It will give you an oil-free look. It acts as a shield to your skin. Likewise, it is a non-negotiable step in the monsoon skincare routine.

Use antifungal products

In this season, drenched by rain, fungal infections increases. It also increases body odor. To avoid these issues, use antifungal products like antifungal talc. Bath with antifungal soap or antifungal body wash.

Avoid makeup

Try to wear minimal makeup, waterproof makeup products, or do not wear makeup. It clogs your skin pores. Sweat because of humidity locks chemicals of chemical products. So to avoid any skin problems like blemishes, acne, and pimples, avoid makeup products. If you wear makeup, make sure you will remove it instantly.

Stay hydrated

Because humid environment, the water level drops by sweating; therefore, drink at least 8-10 glasses. Drinking water rejuvenates skin cells. It helps keep skin hydrated and removes toxins from your body; hence, you get healthier skin.

Eat healthy food

Try to eat well in this season. Stop eating outside and junk food. Avoid oily, fried food to avoid skin problems. Have a balanced diet. Eat homemade fresh food. Consume foods having vitamin C sources. Vitamin C helps to improve immunity and fight virus and bacteria.

Prefer natural face masks

Apply homemade face masks. For dry skin, use fuller clay (Multani mitti), yogurt and turmeric powder, and cucumber juice, and for normal skin, use milk instead of yogurt. For oily and combination skin, use fuller clay (Multani mitti), rose water, and turmeric powder. Apply these face masks for 20 minutes and wash with water.

Use an umbrella and raincoat.

Carry an umbrella and raincoat if you want to go outside. Don’t allow raindrops to touch your skin. If you get wet in the rain, then cleanse your skin when you return home. Otherwise, skin problem starts bumping.
