Constructing a Rocket
The basic steps are as follows:
All the pieces for your rocket should be cut out.
Wrap a tube of paper around the film canister and tape it in place.

If you desire, tape fins to the body of your rocket.
Make a cone out of the circle (with the wedge cut out) and tape it to the rocket's top.
Paper, standard 8-1/2 x 11-inch paper, such as printer paper or notebook paper.
Canister for 35 mm film made of plastic (see hints below)
Tape made of cellophane
Scissors
An antacid tablet that effervesces (fizzes) (the kind used to settle an upset stomach)
Towels made of paper
Water
Eye protection is essential (like eyeglasses, sunglasses, or safety glasses)

The film canister MUST have a top that fits INSIDE the rim rather than over the rim's outside. Occasionally, photographic shops will have extras of these and will gladly contribute them to such a good cause.
The Rocket's Construction
To begin, you must decide how you will cut your paper. To build the rocket's body, you can cut it in two ways: short and long. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to making a paper rocket. A long, slender rocket or a short, fat rocket are both good options. Choose between a sharp and a blunt nosecone. Attempt it with or without fins. Experiment!

Important! Place the canister's lid end down.

Blasting It Out
Put your safety glasses on.
Remove the cover from the canister by turning the rocket upside down.
Fill the canister with one-third water.
Now get to work on the next phases as swiftly as possible!
Fill the container halfway with an effervescent antacid tablet.
Close the cover tightly.
Place your rocket on a launch pad, such as your driveway or sidewalk.
Keep your distance and wait. Your rocket is about to take off!
Rockets are one of the most entertaining pyrotechnic instruments available. Black powder, a common rocket propellant that is easy to combine, can be used to make little lightweight rockets. We've gone through the fundamentals of how to create a simple rocket.
Make the black powder mixture first. In a 16:6:3:4 ratio, use Potassium Nitrate, Air Float Charcoal, 80 Mesh Charcoal, and Sulfur. This is an ideal mix ratio; combine all the ingredients in a container and grind to a fine, free-flowing powder. Pass it through a steel mesh, preferably 20 meshes.
For the body of the rocket, use a 4 oz engine tube. Fill the tube with the fine-grained black powder mixture up to 80% and a little air. You can utilize a 'ram through funnel' to make our job easier, but the rammed materials inside the rocket's body should be tough.
Fill up the space where the room for air has been left by moistening the clay and filling it in. Now, using a thin item, such as a needle, poke a thin hole in the clay. This will be used to light the fuse. A firecracker or a cotton string coated with the same black powder material can be used to make a ready-made fuse.
Make a conical head out of paper materials and attach the fuse to the underside of the rocket body using clay.
For added stability, tape a long stick to the rocket. The rocket is now ready; bury the stick upright in the sand and light the fuse, then watch it soar aloft.
