How to boost the productivity in the office ?

Setting up a new office for your business is not an easy task. From finding the most suitable place to settle down to making sure your office space is fully prepared, your employees have everything they will need; There is always something else to remember.

In this article, we're going to explore a few different ways you can maximize productivity in your office. Once you're fully active and things start to pick up the pace, you'll want to make sure your workers are motivated and dedicated to the work.

 1 - Location

OK, so the point isn't about what's in the office, but what's outside. One of the most important aspects of office space is knowing what to do in the immediate vicinity. You need to provide an opportunity for your employees to get out of the office on their lunch and enjoy a good coffee or some nice places to eat. This is the key to a productive workforce – having enough outside distractions.

2 - Keep distractions to a minimum

While your office must be located in a relatively central area with lots of things to do, you should try to keep distractions in the office to a minimum. You'll have a hard time keeping them away from your smartphone, so a highly cluttered office with too many visual distractions can be harmful.

Please keep it simple and add lots of greenery to your office. Having a few beautiful plants scattered around has more benefits than just making the place look beautiful.

3 - Noise: Find the Right Balance

It really depends on the culture of your business and the personalities of your team. Often a little music can really help boost productivity in the workplace, although having a radio with many talks may not be the best course of action.

Weigh it and try to find the right fit for the ones that are working for you. Perhaps neutral instrumental music playing in the background throughout the day can be really positive.

4 - Ergonomic furniture

It would help if you never skimped on furniture when it comes to decking out your office. No, it's not cheap, and no doubt you've put a lot of money through the whole process of setting things up so far. But, if you want your employees to function at their optimum performance levels, it is important to make sure they are comfortable. Not only this, but ergonomic office furniture is much better for their health and well-being. At least act as your care,

5 - Light the way

Lighting is one of the most important factors for productivity and the overall mood in the office. Natural light is truly a godsend, and so you should make the most of it. If you are limited in how many windows you have in the office, consider installing some mirrors inappropriate places.

This can also make the space feel larger, especially if you are in a small office. You can always look to implement different lighting or lamp features; Be careful not to go too OTT with distractions.

6 - A room with a view

Again, this may not necessarily be possible, depending on your setup. At the same time, it's always easier to have a few large open windows that offer a nice view for your employees to enjoy.

While we've talked about keeping distractions to a minimum, a little green or cityscape can often be inspiring—and it gives your employees quick respite from staring at their screens.

7 - Encourage regular breaks

Arguably the worst thing you can do to your business orders your employees to be at your desk at all times. Not only does this significantly lower your staff retention rate, but it also encourages people to slack off more. I have worked in an environment where people are punished for spending too much time in the toilet and trust me; this does not work.

By encouraging regular breaks, it is not only good for your employee's health but their productivity as well. A little time away from the desk to stretch your legs will work wonders. Try implementing some fun brain teasers and puzzles to keep them occupied for 5 minutes while they sip a cup of tea - that will keep the cogs spinning.

Every employee doesn't need to be busy every minute of the entire workday. In fact, keeping your employees too busy can lead to fatigue and burnout. So one step to improve productivity is to take occasional breaks. Taking a 10-15 minute break allows your team to recharge and feel refreshed when they get back to work. Some large tech companies also have break rooms with ping-pong tables for employees to relax and have fun at work.

8 - Keep a clean environment

If you can't afford to hire a cleaner, do it yourself. There is nothing worse than a dirty environment. Make sure your office is cleaned regularly and that your employees keep the work area clean. They may not like it, but you can apply for a "slob-of-the-month" award. No one wants to be recognized as the guy who doesn't clean up after himself in the break room.
