how to Blog Marketing Crash Course

Many bloggers get frustrated after a few weeks or months when their blog fails to attract thousands of readers. It's a real shame, because if bloggers follow a few simple steps to market a blog, they will probably find that there is a willing audience who is just dying to read about so many topics. So what can a blogger do to be recognized? Here are a few ideas for blog marketing that should make more blogs get more realistic traffic in less time.

Blog about a niche: The world doesn't really need another 'empty blog' about what you have for breakfast. Unless you are a good-looking model girl who wants to add more images to your blog, you will probably have a hard time getting noticed. If you already have a blank blog and are wondering why you are not getting traffic, you need to know that the empty blog market is completely full. Consider starting or turning your blog into another topic - something you are interested in or something you like as an example.

Next, you need to start posting forums. Enter the blog URL in your forum's signature (do not include spam for the forum by saying "check my blog"). If you just join the conversation naturally, then people will be curious, and you will find a few more readers. If the forum you are posting is related to the same topic on your blog, then you will probably find readers repeating it! Try to find the most popular forums in the niche you are writing about. To find them, just go to Google and search for your niche keyword and 'forum' and you should get a list. Try to find forums with at least a few thousand active members.

Make sure you do track backs and ping backs on other blogs you have linked to, so they know about you. When people find out that you talked about them, they'll come and see what you have to say. So did some of their students. Talking about popular stories from popular blogs can get you more than just a few visitors.

Comment on other people's blogs as best you can (without spam). In most cases you can return the link to your blog and people are following these links. It is also good to identify blogs that discuss the same topic as yours, because then you will find targeted readers who may continue reading your blog. (Avoid using "Spam Comments" programs, as Google can track this and will punish you).

Most importantly, you need to keep blogging! No one will return to a blog that is updated weekly or periodically. You need to add more content at least once a day, especially in the early stages of recognition for your blog.

Blogging is relatively new. Includes the creation of an online journal that is displayed in chronological order. A blogger who maintains a blog may choose to post blog posts as often as they wish. This may include posting new entries more than once daily, daily, weekly, monthly
