Believing in yourself means having confidence in your abilities. It means being able to trust yourself to do what you say you will do and knowing that these efforts will yield the desired results. This means believing that you come from a combination of many important psychological factors – self-awareness, self-confidence, acceptance, self-esteem, independence, and the experience of your environment.

When we believe in ourselves, it sets up many psychological processes that help us achieve our goals, fulfill our dreams, and improve our health. But on the other hand, it is true. Not believing or distrusting ourselves means that we are less likely to be forced to act, change, or be better.
Therefore, when we expect to fail, we are more likely to fail. This means that self-confidence is somewhat similar to the key that turns on the ignition and starts the car. We can't go anywhere without it. No matter how far we try to push ourselves forward, we hold back because our thoughts, behaviors, and actions do not align with our goals. So we don't do what we're supposed to do, or we hurt ourselves along the way, sometimes in obvious ways, sometimes in ways we don't even remember.
