A perfect photo makes you look your best and gives off an air of professionalism, energy, or gravitas to match any social media account’s style - which means there are no limits when it comes down to taking these kinds of shots! Here are some tips from our resident photographer turned Instagram guru on capturing those special moments for posterity.
PLAN FIRST: When you're on the clock, it's essential to take some time during your photo shoot brainstorming ideas and get creative with locations. You don't want any last-minute scrambling because that can really distract from what's happening in front of the camera! The perfect photo begins with a clear plan. What are you trying to capture? How will your audience know what they're looking at once the image has been finalized and published online or in print if it's HDR (high dynamic range) photography that requires extra processing time on their computer screens--or even just conventional color photos requiring more light than usual for optimal results during early morning hours when shadows have yet again lengthened? The pre-visualization step of planning out each shot can oftentimes yield better outcomes because there is no room left over for experimentation!
LIGHT CAN BRING LIFE: Some people think that a photographer's skill is only in capturing the perfect moment, but this isn't true. A better photo has those who find just enough light to illuminate their subject and avoid harsh shadows or flatness with an appealing balance between them; it also requires waiting for hours until they can get what you're looking for because there will never be one specific time when all conditions are ideal at once--sometimes we must settle instead of giving up altogether! Taking pictures with natural light is always the best option, so if you have access to a window or bright area that's not too far from where your subject will be standing, then take advantage! Avoid using flash because it can often wash out colors and create harsh shadows.
BALANCE THE COMPOSITION: When taking a photo, pay attention and be aware of your surroundings. Eliminate distractions by selecting the right angles from which you capture this moment in time with clarity; balancing all elements properly will ensure an appealing end result!
EDIT WISELY: The photo's color and contrast are two elements that can make or break it. Over-editing might result in an unappealing output where excessive filtering has been done to the image, leading you towards a more artificial-looking product, which could be off-putting for some people who want their photos realistic instead of unrealistic looking.
SHOW YOUR CREATIVITY: If you are feeling intimidated by the idea of experimenting with photos, then do not be. All it takes is one photo that speaks volumes and captures a moment in time for people to see what's inside themself through another person’s eyes, and they will love how creative their minds can truly wander when looking at something so captivating, and beautiful as yours.
The key isn't being afraid or ashamed about trying new things; instead, embrace those risks because there may just turn out amazing results, like this example here which showcases both originality and technical skillfulness
