2048 is a very addictive game available on desktop and mobile devices. It is easy to learn, but it is very difficult to beat someone in it. It is also available on retro consoles. You can play the game online, or download it on iOS or Android.
Basic Instructions and Tips

a.) Know the rules of the game:
You probably already know how 2048 works, but here are the basics. Note that the official game works in a similar way, but there are many parodies, imitations, and even predecessors that are played in many different ways.

b.) Swipe the screen up, down, left or right to move all the number tiles in that direction:
Each tile moves in that direction until it hits a wall or another tile. (Use your arrow keys in the computer version.)

Each time you make a move, a new 2 or 4 tile appears on an empty space in a row or column that was last moved.
c.) Try to get to 2048:
When a move hits two tiles with the same number next to each other, they merge into one tile with a value equal to the sum of the two tiles. For example, two 2 tiles add up to a 4. The objective is to draw a tile with a value of 2048.

d.) Stop and mov:
It's easy to get lost in the game so make your moves as fast as possible. If you want to try your best to win, face this urge and only make a move when you're ready. Look ahead and try to imagine what the board will look like after making the next move, or at least what will happen to some of the important tiles.

e.) Focus on one corner:
A common strategy among players is to make the most numbers in one corner together. It doesn't matter which corner you choose, but once you choose If so, stick with it.
This trick works best when the corner is part of a line that you fill permanently. This allows you to move tiles to the right without removing your high-value tile.
Take chances to merge multiple tiles. If you see a long line of identical tiles, it's usually a good idea to merge them all and give yourself more space on the board.
Try alternate tapping up and to the right. The basic method is to alternate tapping up and to the right until a square moves. When this happens, tap left, then alternately up and back to the right. This won't guarantee you a win - in fact, it usually doesn't. However, it can get you a high score, and it's an easy way to beat your previous record.
If you have beat 2048 and want more challenge than before, try to reach 2048 with the lowest score. Since you get points every time you make a move, it is difficult to reach 2048 in the least number of moves with such a low scoreIf you have beat 2048 and want more challenge than before, try to reach 2048 with the lowest score. Since you get points for every move you make, it's hard to reach 2048 in the least number of moves with such a low score.
