How to be the best governor of the Islamic world

It was a golden age of Islam. There was an atmosphere of peace and tranquility everywhere. There was so much justice that everyone could ask for their share. This was the age of caliph Omar. He made an honest man the governor of Hums. If Caliph Umar himself was a just man, then his governors were no less. After making him governor, he went to his subjects to ask them how they treated their subjects.

Going there, it seems strange that some complaints are received from the people against whom the governor was trusted. His subjects complain to the caliph at the time that the day gets brighter, and our governors come to hear our complaints when they have to come early in the morning. Secondly, they close their doors on their subjects at night. The third is that one day in a month they do not listen to anyone and do not leave the house. When caliph Omar listened to him, he said that all your complaints are true. And when he was called and the first complaint was made to him, he replied that it is true that I come late to solve people's problems and one of the reasons is that I do not have any servant help, I help with the housework, so I'm late for home, and I wish I hadn't had to tell you.

Then another complaint was made to them. They said: It is true that I close the door on my subjects at night. Dedicated to worship, and the day to public works, and I wish I didn't have to tell you that. Then the third complaint was made to him, and he said: I do not go out of the house one day in a month, and it does not solve the problems of the people. There are no other clothes to wear. I wash my own clothes and then teach them to wear.

It was a small example of these historical twists. This is not about a common man, this is about a man who was governor. There was such simplicity and such humility that there was less to wear and less to eat. Hearts were rich in faith.

When he had given his cleansing, caliph Umar felt proud of him, and all the grievances of his subjects were removed. So, caliph Omar sent them a thousand dinars so that they could fulfill their needs, then he gave them in charity. And they do not have enough money to keep a servant.

It was not poverty, nor was there a shortage of money. In fact, it was all simplicity. Simplicity brightens the personality. In this article of a few words, it was understood that this was the situation of the governor and if we look at the life of the caliph at that time, the words would be less. If we keep someone's name alive centuries later, it will be a matter of their hard work, their sacrifices. The names of those who have lofty goals will always be high. The rewards of great sacrifices are great. High-minded people never compromise on ordinary and superficial things.

I don't want to tell just one story from this article, but I want to remind you of the great purpose hidden in it. Great sacrifices are part of a larger purpose.
