Once upon a time, there were three siblings named Samuel, Timothy and Xander, who lived in a cabin by the forestland. They were honest and hardworking. Every day, they would venture into the timber to fell wood. Latterly, they would vend it in the request where it would cost a decent price. Therefore, their life continued in this manner.
Still, the siblings were always sad. Indeed, though they lived a good life, they were unhappy. Each one hankered for a commodity or the other and would pine for it.
One day, while Samuel, Timothy and Xander were returning home from the forestland carrying their pack of logs, they saw an old gaunt woman fraudulent low with a sack on her reverse. As they were kind and compassionate, the siblings, incontinent, approached the poor woman and offered to carry the sack to her home. She smiled and expressed her appreciation, while replying that the sack contained apples that she had collected in the timber. Samuel, Timothy and Xander took turns in carrying the sack, and at last, when they reached the woman's home, they were veritably tired indeed.
Now, this old woman was no ordinary person and had magical powers. Pleased with the siblings, kind and selfless nature, she asked them whether there was anything she could help them with, as a price.
"We aren't happy, and that has come to our topmost cause of concern," replied Samuel. The woman asked what would make them happy. Each family spoke of a different thing that would please him.
"A splendid manse with a plenitude of retainers would make me happy. There's nothing further that I would want," said Samuel.
"A big ranch with lots of crops would make me happy. Also, I could be rich without having to worry," said Timothy.
"A beautiful woman would make me happy. Every day, after returning home, her sweet little face would light me up and make me forget my sorrows," said Xander.
"That's fine," said the old woman, "If these effects will offer you happiness, you earn them in every respect for helping a poor helpless person like me. Go home, and every one of you shall find exactly what you've got wished for."
This took the siblings, by surprise as they didn't know about the woman's powers. Nonetheless, they took leave and returned home. But lo behold, besides their cabin, there was a huge manse with a gatekeeper and other retainers staying outdoors! They saluted Samuel and steered him in. At some distance, unheroic cropland showed itself. A plowman came and blazoned that it belonged to Timothy. Timothy heaved. Just at that moment, a beautiful mademoiselle approached Xander and coyly said that she was his woman. The siblings were beside themselves with joy at this new turn of events. They thanked their lucky stars and acclimated to their new cultures.
The days passed and soon time was over. The situation was still, now different for Samuel, Timothy and Xander. Samuel had grown tired of retaining the manse. He came lazy and didn't supervise his retainers in taking proper care of the manse. Timothy, who had assembled a decent house next to his cropland, plant it burdensome to plow the fields and sow seeds from time to time. Xander too grew used to his beautiful woman and no longer plant any joy in keeping her company. In short, all of them were unhappy again.
One day, the three of them met up and decided to go to the old woman at her home." That woman has magical powers which turned our dreams into reality. Still, since we're no longer happy, we must go and seek her help now. It's she who'll be suitable to tell us the secret to attaining happiness," said Samuel.
When they came to the old woman, she was cooking stew in a pot. Chatting to her, each of the sisters reported how he'd turned unhappy again." Please tell us how we can formerly more be happy," said Timothy.
Old Woman" Well," replied the old woman." It's each in your own hands. See, when each of you made his want, and it was granted, you were happy. Still, happiness noway lasts without a veritably important thing content. Before, since you were happy but noway really happy or satisfied, tedium and misery crushed you, and you came sadly again. Samuel, Timothy and Xander realized their mistake and went back home. They saw how lucky they were to have the gifts for which they had formerly craved. Samuel felt thankful for being the proprietor of a manse and began taking good care of it. Timothy began to plow his land diligently to have a good crop in time. Xander too learned to appreciate his suitable woman's chores in the house and her devotion to him. Remembering that happiness and contentment went side by side, noway again did the siblings take their blessings for granted. And therefore, they lived happily ever later.
