KAPIL DEV

Kalil dev was born on 6 January 1959.His full name is Kapil dev Ramlal Nikhanj. He is mostly known as Kapil pajji. He was a fast bowler and hard-hitting middle-order Batsman. 

KAPIL DEV PERSONAL LIFE

He married Rani Bhatia in 1980 and have a daughter Amiya Dev on 16 January 1996.

In 1993 Dev took off golf. Dev was the only Asian founding member of Laurance foundation in 2020. Ian Botham and Viv Richards were the other members of the council. Steve Waugh was added to the academic members in 2006.

Kapil made his debut in the test by getting cap number 142 on 16 October 1978. He played his last test match against Pakistan on 19 March. In 1994 he made his ODI debut against BLACKCAPS (NEW ZEALAND) by getting the cap number 25. He played his last ODI against West Indies on 17 October. 

His jersey number is 83.

Kapil Dev is known as one of the most favorite cricketers. He lifted the first-ever WORLD CUP for team India as a captain. He was the number 1 all-rounder of his era. It is almost 3 decades of his retirement. Several promising all-rounders Cropped up in the team, but no one would have managed to compare with Kapil Dev. Even though players such as Sachin, Virendra Sehwag, and Gavaskar have been considered synonymous with Indian cricketers for their batting records, Dev will always hold a special place in the history of the Indian cricket team and also in the world history that's incredible. 

He led an underdot Indian side to become the powerhouse of international cricket when they defeated the superior WEST INDIAN in the 19the 83 world Cup. He changed the image of the Indian cricket team. In

In the history of cricket, Dev was the only Indian pacer to earn respect from his opponents.

Not at bowl Dev has talented to with bat. His level of batting was compared with that big names like IMRAN KHAN, RICHARD HARDLY, IAN BOTHAM. His 175 not out in the match against Zimbabwe in a group B match in the 1983 world Cup was regarded by many of the best ODI innings of all time, and interestingly, that made Dev maiden Indian's centurion. Dev hung his boots in 1994 and clinched the Indian cricketer of the century award in 2002. One of his stints, post-retirement, included coaching the Indian cricket team. Sadly that ended on a bad note when he was one of the cricketers named by Manoj Prabhakar in tha notorious match-fixing scandal.

Dev made a cameo appearance in the film's village, yeh dillagi, Iqbal, chain khuli ki main khulikhuli, and much Shadi karogi.

He has also released the song"ONE INDIA MY INDIA" with Shailendra Singh.

The 2016 Indian film Azhar, directed by D'Souza, revolves around match-fixing scandals in the late 90s and 2000. In the film, Dev's character was played by Varun viola.

Indian filmmaker Kabir Khan is directing a biopic film named 83 about India's win in 1983. The film featured Ranveer Singh as Dev and is produced by Anurag Kashyap.
