Friendship is something a person can truly hold onto, and it's the most precious thing in this world. It is said that the best friends you have are those who stick by each other when everything else seems broken or gone wrong. If someone is your life, especially if they make the biggest impact, then they will come with some of the toughest times and hardest days. They will be there to tell you how they really feel about things, to help you through the tough times, and help you to stay positive and keep going for whatever situation has come up for you. This friend is only made for the times like these. To build more bonds, start seeing new people, go see movies and enjoy yourself! Don't think that it isn't fun to see those new faces that you haven't met before! Just get out there and be the happy face that you are. When someone gets out on social gatherings and events, don't look down on them. Say hello, smile at their wonderful face, and say hi back! Do not judge them, because they may be having a bad day, or they might just have been trying to fight for attention. See them as normal human beings trying to do what everyone else does. You may be doing anything similar themselves. At all times, try to stand for the one true good friend that you were always meant to have. Remember when you used to sit next to this one person you knew when you were younger? What happened? Did he go away, or did he move away? Remember when we would hang out together with him? I don't know why it happened, but sometimes he was my favorite person. One time, while we were hanging out there and we had our own little moment on top of this, and he asked me whether he should do one last time. I told him I loved him enough to let him do whatever he wanted to, so no matter what happens, he doesn't really have to end his relationship with me. We didn't talk for days, but I remember feeling good because I knew that he was still my big brother. Eventually, it became clear that he wasn't leaving his house, and that every single thing he did had to make sense. That was me being a kid again. Now, I didn't even know how to love myself, so when he said no, I was devastated and I honestly thought I was done. He didn't want to keep talking to me, and neither should anyone else. But I told him that I loved him dearly, and I would just always hope and pray that he could ever find somebody to love her. And I still do. Sometimes, I wish I could be that person for him, and sometimes, I wish I could tell him to leave me alone. Although he tried hard to try and make me fall in love with him, I'm so lucky I couldn't at first just pick myself off the shelf. The second he fell, or even moreso he started saying horrible things to me, I couldn't take it anymore. He was emotionally abusive to me, and I was terrified to even try to make sense of why. So I turned and ran from him. That was the beginning of an eight-week nightmare where I ended up in jail for my own safety. After seven months in prison, I got released on bail for attempted murder and robbery charges after spending three years behind bars for nothing. My family came home one day to find me sitting at their kitchen table crying uncontrollably because I couldn't stop thinking about him. I didn't know why I was so angry. All I knew was that I was upset and hurt for so many reasons, that I took matters into my own hands. And now, I am living with PTSD and anxiety. I'm learning how important it is to be the best friend every person needs. For many weeks, you wonder why you had to become a better friend than you were when you knew you were supposed to be able to be. It's okay to cry, get frustrated, make mistakes or get mad. Asking questions like "why?" and "how?" and asking where to start is one of the most critical moments in building meaningful relationships. Not being able to give a reason for your anger to break out is one of the most common pieces of advice given to those wanting to recover. While the fact that you actually did something bad, or you hurt someone else too, is enough to turn your whole world upside down, that's not enough to heal you. Healing takes time and patience. Especially if you haven't experienced any healing before, it takes time to learn about ourselves in the process of understanding ourselves. There are times that I think that my problems are my fault, or that I need to fix myself so much that I have to turn the other way around, but I know deep down that it's my decision that really counts when I need to make changes and move forward. When some of the worst times happen to us, the best friends that we have aren't willing to turn around and help us. In order to build these friendships and friendships are essential, you must put them first. Most people struggle with putting themselves in someone else's shoes (or their relationship with the world). The difficulty comes from having to decide what to do when you're faced with difficult situations or making choices you may regret later on. Having a partner or a significant other figure to lean on isn't always easy for some people. If you've decided that you want to live a healthy lifestyle and improve your overall wellbeing, this is the sign that you need to start working towards a healthier mind and body. Your friends are the key ingredients that help you along this journey, so take time to find the right people who will help you to thrive. Keep reminding yourself and your friends that nobody is perfect, and that the key to happiness is finding a balance between what you want and what you can handle. Friends aren't easy to find. There are tons of people who have already found their forever bond with each other, and there are plenty of friendship groups to join. Once you start looking for good friends, finding those special ones won't be as difficult. Finding great friends can feel like finding the right home in a lot of ways, so start with searching online for good acquaintances.
