How to avoid procrastination, Ignore Distractions, and get the work done?

There is not a single element of human life that is not influenced by technology. Our career has changed and our lives have become much simpler. Now we can see the world's information in more detail quickly. Technology in a sense has made us smarter and faster in our ways of working.

Production has increased due to the further technological advances we have now but also the pressure of work is increasing. While we are snowing down on our work, we are always connected to our social media accounts or continue to check our Whatsapp often.

Extreme Time Killers:

In workplaces, people spend a lot of time on Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media apps.

According to a study, 95% of employees are disrupted during the working day. Another survey was conducted by OfficeTime.net, which includes more than 17,000 small business owners and freelancers. Ask these people about jobs that lead to work interruptions while they are working. The results were astounding,

45% of respondents spend most of their time working on inbox, reading, and replying to their daily emails.

43% of employees consider social media as big-time users.

And 34% of people spend their time following the latest news.

According to Stephen Dodd, founder of OfficeTime.net and CEO of Production Monkey, email testing is a huge waste of time for people during work hours. It is a great distraction to the human mind and people do not see how easily they are letting go of their precious time that could have produced their future.

He said people should not look at their emails at work if they need to send responses quickly and then respond in a straightforward but dignified manner. Take a list of all the less important sites and spend time staying focused on their work.

Chasing distractions:

Distractions do not come automatically; we allow these distractions to control our attention and resources. Many employees spend most of their productive hours of the day chasing social media alerts or email responses. They become exhausted while engaging in such unproductive activities. The attraction of the news headlines breaks our focus too quickly.

For professionals and researchers, this has become a major problem because labor productivity is wasted by time-varying distractions that are unreliable. But the reason is that employees easily fall short of these time distractions because they like to spend their time on leisure activities. They enjoy staying in touch on social networks, checking emails, answering their phone messages because they find it interesting. They always seek refuge in the work they should be doing.

Go back to the old ways: Stop procrastinating

The stress of stealing attention can be overcome if we begin to live a normal life. Adhering to healthy habits, such as getting a good night's sleep and eating a healthy diet, can help you to stay focused on work. Postponement work can become a very harmful practice; you can end up living with nothing in your hand for the future. It is our responsibility to focus on what we love in our lives and to pursue our goals that we should achieve.

There are tools available online such as “Cold Turkey” and “Self Control” that help you block websites disrupting your working hours. But the biggest disruption blocker is rooted in your brain, if you decide to ignore the less important things in addition to your work, nothing can distract you.
