Social media, very useful word in today's era. Online shopping, online money transaction ; we love to do all things online. We love to do online shopping, but we feel lazy to go to market, we feel safe when it is an online transaction instead of giving money from pocket. And also it is very good obviously because we are developing, we are updating ourselves. Not only our young generation but also our elder generation are doing all things online.
I am not saying that we shouldn't do things online, but while doing this we should be aware about the social media frauds. Which is becoming very common.
So I am writing this article to aware you about the social media.
Social media is not all fraud, but there are some people who make their money through social media by making common people fool. Not only our elder generation who have less knowledge about social media then young generation are getting into this trap but also our young generation.
These people give bribe to common people like if you give that amount of money you will get double amount of money in return. They totally trap ourselves into it and make money from greed.
There are many places where online frauds occur. I am telling you some of these :
1 Online website fraud
On Google there are a lot of websites running which sell so many products. Some are selling makeup products, some cloths, some footwear etc. And not all websites are real. There are many websites which takes our order and never delivered it.
Like we all prefer to shop online, and also we make online payment while ordering our product, and that is become the source of income of some fraud websites.
I am not saying that we shouldn't do online transaction of money. But we should keep some steps in mind while shopping from Google website
1 Always make sure that no shop sell their products at cheapest price.
Example : on some website we see that price of the products are very low and in the same pattern as ₹149, ₹99. Which attracts us, and we ordered from that website because of the low price. What we shouldn't do.
2 In this, YouTube is very useful for you. You can search the website name on YouTube, and they will provide you the information if that website is fake or real.
3 Also, like Google website, there are some apps on Google Play Store.
We also take care about that.
2 Social media fraud
Social media like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Telegram, WhatsApp.
Almost 70 % of online frauds occurs on that social media apps.
Frauds like double your money, giving your job, but you have to pay before getting that job, and this is very shameful to tell, but some girls do online frauds.
We have to keep in mind that none can make your money double unless it is legal like stocks.
No person can make our double in an hour of a day. They can never do that. So never trust on anyone who tell you that I can make your money double in just few minutes and all.
Some people give money to some random influencer to promote their online fraud business, but always keep in mind that they get money to promote it, that doesn't mean it is real.
3 Last thing I am telling you about online threatening.
Basically, what is online threatening ? The thought after reading that came in your mind that, is someone take our private pictures, and threatened us or someone takes our important paper's information?
Yes, you are right. First, we talk about our picture threatening. As our generation is becoming very advanced, and it is too soon. A 12-year-old girl, and a boy, are in a relationship now-a-days. They do all things that even an adult think twice to do. And in that small age they give their pictures to prove their so-called love and get in trouble. Not only girls are getting in trouble, but also boys.
I am just saying that you don't do anything like that, which will get you in a trap of trouble.
Second, this is a real situation. I saw an advertisement on newspaper and message them on WhatsApp. They ask me about my resume, and all. I gave them, and luckily they select me for job. But after that they ask me to deposit money, And in that I doubted that they are fake, and I refused to give money. After some minute they message me on WhatsApp and ask me for friendship, and then threatened me that they have my documents, and they are also taking loan on behalf of my name. I immediately complained a file on cyber crime.
But they didn't do anything, they only threatened me so that I gave money to them.
So I am just telling you all that be careful about online frauds. Always check on Google, YouTube and most importantly ask your family member or a friend before doing anything like which make you in doubt.
