If you have never applied for a PAN card or if you do not hold any Permanent Account number, then you can apply for a new pan card. To apply for a new pan card the applicant should have an identity proof which carries the applicant photograph, date of birth proof which reflects the date, month and year of the applicant birth, and address proof in the name of the applicant. Proof such as identity proof, date of birth, address proof should be valid at the time of applying pan card. Applicant for whom pan number allotted should not apply for new allotment of permanent account number since holding more than one PAN is against the law.
