How to Accelerate Weight Loss Naturally? 5 starchy carbohydrates you can eat on a diet and still lose weight.

5 starchy carbohydrates you can eat on a diet and still lose weight.

If you have to eliminate certain foods from your diet to lose weight, you may fail. However, a dietitian has identified five carbohydrates that can be consumed while on a diet.

Carbohydrates are a dietary group that tends to be eliminated fast when someone is trying to lose weight. Some dieters believe certain foods like pasta, bread, and potatoes will sabotage their efforts, but dietitian Rhiannon Lambert has demonstrated how some meals might aid weight loss. She also gives portion size advice and food choices.

Carbohydrates are the body's primary source of energy, Rhiannon explained.

"They give the body glucose to use for energy, as well as the ability to store glucose for later use."

Carbs are also beneficial to our gut health, since they provide helpful fiber to the digestive tract.

According to the author, "There is now a correlation between intestinal health and keeping a healthy weight."

Carbohydrates are so vital that Rhiannon believes they should account for about a third of a person's daily calorie intake.

It all boils down to portion size, though.

Pasta

Two handfuls are the suggested portion size (dried).

"The whole wheat form of pasta is an easy method to raise your fiber level, which can help you feel fuller for longer, promote digestive health, and lessen your risk of disease like type 2 diabetes," Rhiannon added.

While a hot, cheesy pasta bake is delicious on a cold winter evening, cold pasta can help you maintain a healthy weight.

When people consume pasta hot, it will release faster into the bloodstream, whereas when it's cooled down, there will be more resistant starch, which is meant to support people with a healthy weight or help aid weight loss as it can help with gut satiety, keeping people satisfied for longer, "the nutritionist explained.

Two handfuls of rice are the suggested serving size (dried).

Brown rice is a superior choice and goes well with curries and taglines.

It has a nutty flavor and is a good source of dietary fiber, Rhiannon explained.

Not getting enough carbohydrates can cause depression, which can lead to binge-eating.

It's critical to keep serotonin levels stable to stay in a happy mood.

"Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that helps transfer messages from one area of the brain to another and is thought to regulate a range of psychological activities; it's known as our "happy hormone" because of its mood-stabilizing properties," Rhiannon continued.

One fist-sized potato is advised as portion size.

Potatoes can be boiled, roasted, diced, sliced for chips, or mashed.

Rhiannon recommends baking a potato, even though some of the options aren't the healthiest.

"Baked potatoes help with digestion because they are high in fiber and vitamin B6, which is an important vitamin for the body," she explained.

"B vitamins are essential for maintaining a healthy neurological system and assist our bodies in releasing energy from the foods we eat."

Root vegetables, butternut squash, turnips, and parsnips are all starchy veggies that contain a lot of starchy carbs.

"Everyone should attempt to eat minimal amounts of starchy veggies," Rhiannon added.

Because they're starchy carbs, they usually have roughly 8g of fiber per 100g, which is almost a third of your daily fiber needs.

If you want to lose weight, choose starchy vegetables over refined carbs (like white bread). "

One apple is recommended as portion size.

Apples contain carbohydrates, which may come as a surprise.

A small apple has roughly 21 grams of carbs, which is more than a typical slice of bread.

Apples, on the other hand, are high in fiber and vitamin C, both of which are beneficial to cell health.

"To make your apple even more filling, try pairing it with a spoonful of nut butter," Rhiannon said.

Two slices of bread are advised as portion size.

Bread is one of the most feared carbohydrates, although it may be consumed in moderation.

Rhiannon explained. "Wholegrain bread is rich with nutrients, including fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and trace minerals," she explained.

Bread is a slow-release carb, which means the energy it contains is released gradually throughout the day, helping to maintain energy and mood levels.

The nutritionist told The Sun that bread also has a prebiotic impact, which helps maintain your body's healthy balance, and many slices of bread have zero grams of trans and saturated fats per serving.
