A Curse Or A Blessing
TikTok is a versatile application. It is used by everyone everywhere in the world. Its users are increasing day by day, most of the users are youngsters, but now it is also used by kids. It is made for entertainment purpose, but now it becomes a must-use app. Addiction of everyone. Some used it for entertainment and some for money. To gain money, a lot of people create fake and dangerous videos which can bring humiliation in society.
Some people argue that this app is good for time killing and good for entertainment purpose. Although others contend that social media platforms like TikTok serve as both a creative outlet and a crucial forum for conversation and social change, we are currently so overloaded with information and ideas that we are unsure of where to begin discussing these topics. Most people do not even realize they are being overstimulated.
In addition to the known affects TikTok has on attention span, the app has a significant impact on how we interact with one another. We can easily fill any time gaps with quick amusement because of the existence of everlasting media. We no longer understand what it means to be alone on our own.
It produces a tonne more issues in the actual world.
For years, technology has been creeping into our daily lives. Phones have replaced many activities, photographs and videos for social media are essential, discussions are replaced by iMessages, and nature is replaced by Netflix. Even though I'm not a major admirer of the technological revolution, I've tried to accept it and have participated in it myself. However, TikTok has directly impacted me in real lifeways—drama.
My arguments with my friends about dolls and tag are long gone. I've now witnessed fights that were entirely caused by TikToks. The most important ones are listed here.
- A pattern when someone gets outed in public.
- Dances performed by girls without an invitation.
- Dances done by girls who didn’t invite a friend to hang and then posted.
- People slandering one another in a comment area behind their backs.
- Someone was expelled for recording a video criticizing an instructor.
- There were TikToks that were racist, cringy and homophobic.
All of these have strained relationships, sparked storms of scheming and fighting, and caused significant harm to individuals. And it's not only a problem in my group of friends. Everywhere, this kind of thing occurs frequently. How a virtual platform may change our actual, physical world is something I can't bear.
We are diverted by it.
I don't believe I have ever completed my schoolwork without first checking my phone. TikTok has proven to be a significant distraction for me and for all of us in all areas of life, including school, social life, sleep, extracurricular activities, and simply getting things done. If I wasn't constantly side tracked by this "digital crack cocaine" program, my grades, my social life, my sleep, and my physical health would all be better.
How TikTok Affects Children?
TikTok develop higher addiction to children because they found it a new thing which lead them to increase higher interest in it. And thus resulting in unnecessary time wastage, no other healthy activity, stopping them to play outside games which make them fresh. Continuously usage of mind on one thing with no movement of body make them lazy and un active. Also, they have mood swings due to unnecessary use of this application.
