Ola, on the Occasion of 75th independence day, launched its most hyped electric scooters S1 and S1 pro, rivaling Ather energy, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors, Honda Okinawa, with a longer range and greater performance.
Launched at a starting price of Rs.99,999 for S1 and Rs.1,29,999 for S1 Pro making them most competitive compared to its rivals existing in the market. However, starting from September 8, it will be available for buyers for purchasing, and deliveries will commence from October month across 1,000+ cities and towns in India.
S1 MODEL
Ola company CEO said, " S1 and S1 Pro models are the industry-leading products with best in class range, cost and speed". He also stated, " market is ready, the consumer is ready. It's just that the companies are not ready yet." He added India by 2025 will be 100% switching to EV two-wheelers and has the ability to capture 50% of global demand by that time.
Both S1 and S1 Pro come with the same electric motor that delivers 11bhp and 58Nm of torque. The only difference is the battery capacity between S1 and S1 Pro, 2.98Kwh for S1, and 3.97Kwh for S1 Pro.
Ola S1 and S1 Pro Model Range:
S1 model comes with a range of 121 Km with two modes normal and sport modes. At the same time, S1 pro comes with a range of 181Km on a single charge with additionally having hyper mode.
Ola Scooter charging time:
with a portable charger provided Ola scooter battery pack will take 6 hours for a full charge. However, the company is establishing 5000+ charging stations across 100+ cities in the five-year time frame alone. With the fast charger's provided, users can charge their EV up to 50% in just 18 minutes, giving the e-scooter a range of 75Km, which is really quick.
Ola has already received over 1,00,000+ bookings in the first 24 hours of its opening slots. Those who want to register can register by paying an advance amount of just Rs.499 on the official Ola website.
However, Ola will sell their e-scooters on online and offline experience centers, which they are already setting up in all major cities in India. Ola electric is also aiming to launch its e-scooters in overseas markets, including Europe, Asia, and America. Ola is already on its way to building a factory on 500 acres in Tamilnadu's Krishnagiri district. When completed, it will be the world's largest two-wheeler factory that can produce 10 million e-scooter every year.
