If your breasts could talk, they would have so much to talk but even without speaking they tell you a lot about your health. Most of us do not pay much attention to them on a daily basis but we should. Whether they are big or small or perky or saggy, they are like a barometer for your health. All you need to do is ready them properly. They undergo several changes throughout your life and these changes are connected not only to a few ups and down in your hormone levels but also to your wellness. Examine your breasts once a month and go for a regular breast check up. Here is a list of things your breasts tell you about your health. 1. Are your breasts shrinking?    

If you think your breasts are shrinking, get a measuring tape and measure it. If they are actually shrinking, it means you are losing weight. Whatever diet or workout plans you are following, it is working. Decrease in the size of breasts may also mean that the estrogen level in your body is falling and it happens with impending menopause.  You must consult your doctor if your breasts are shrinking and none of the above mentioned reasons apply.     

2. Are they growing?

If your breasts are growing bigger then you must be gaining weight. They grow with the rest of your body. It could also mean that there is a hormonal change. Hormonal changes are common if you are getting your periods or are pregnant or began birth control pills. Being stressed and lack of sleep could also cause breast growth. 3. Are you feeling breast tenderness?    

You might experience breast tenderness if you are about to get your periods. However, the place where you feel the soreness is also important. If you have experience tenderness over the nipples and in the front, it means that the estrogen level in your body is high. Soreness under your armpit means that ovulation has happened during the menstrual cycle.     

4. Do you see veins on your breasts?

5. Itchy breasts?   

If you feel itchy on your breasts and under them, it means that the material of your bra is not suitable for your skin. Get a new bra. It is best to wear a cotton bra as the material will let your breast skin breathe.    

6. Do you see some discharge from your nipples?    

If you are pregnant, then the discharge is normal. However, if the discharge has some funny colors like greenish or bloody, then consult your doctor.    

7. Do you have hair on your breasts?   

Appearance of breast hair is a sign that you have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), which is one of the most common problem today. In PCOS, excessive amounts of male hormones are produced by your body.
