How the submarine has the ability to stay under water for 96 hours?

Search teams from the United States and Canada are racing against time to find the missing tourist submarine.

According to the news agency Reuters citing the US Coast Guard, the submarine has the ability to stay underwater for a total of 96 hours.

According to BBC news, the submarine named 'Titan' disappeared last Sunday after leaving with visitors to show the wreckage of the Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

1 hour 45 minutes into the journey, surface contact with the small submarine was lost.

The missing submarine has five people on board.  One of them is the driver (pilot), the other four are passengers (visitors).

British billionaire Hamish Harding (58) is among the passengers.  He is a businessman and adventurer. An all-night search in the mid-Atlantic Ocean was conducted in search of the submarine.  But so far no trace of the submarine has been found.

US and Canadian ships and aircraft are participating in the search.  Non-governmental organizations including the navies of both countries are assisting in this operation.

Officials say multiple military aircraft, a submarine and other sophisticated technology are being used in the search.

U.S. Coast Guard officer Rear Admiral John Mayer said at a press conference that the searchers' goal at this time is to search as much of the area as possible.

John Mayer said the area being searched is remote.  This made the operation difficult.

Titan Submarine is owned by Oceangate.  They said, maximum efforts are being made to find the submarine and bring back the occupants.

In 1912, the Titanic sank after hitting an iceberg.  The wreck of the Titanic lies at the bottom of the North Atlantic, 13,123 feet below sea level.
