How the life of an Indian house wife changes after marriage ?
I always thought that my life will also be like a fairy tale because we all have some dreams but forget that not everyone's dreams come true. I too had similar dreams. I was married to a guy whom I had met only once, the day our relationship was fixed. My parents had also seen a very good match after many efforts for me. I too was impressed, seeing that boy that day. We finally got married, everything seemed like a dream. As everyone stood to welcome me, everyone was talking to me with love. I was very happy to see all this. But this happiness did not last long.
After a month I came to know that I am pregnant, but I was not happy with this pregnancy because I wanted to spend some time with my husband and in-laws. It was all too early for me. My husband was very happy with this news, and he refused abortion. But I still could not decide what should I do now. I also took advice from my mother, she also asked me to continue the pregnancy. Then the day also came the day I gave birth to my child, due to some health issues, my delivery took place in 6 months 23 days. My mother also came to me to support me because I had an operation, and it was getting difficult for me to even sit up. There was no other lady in my in-laws' house to help me. All this experience was new for me and my family members as well. So it was very difficult to manage everything.
Then after 3 months we came back from the hospital as my baby was pre term, so he needed medical treatment. This period was filled with the most struggles of my life. Now I saw the behavior of my husband and in-laws changing. I was always taunted that I do not know how to take care of my child. Used to expect me as if I had taken a course in child care. Not only me, but my in-laws also used to comment somewhere that your parents also did not teach anything. I do not understand that any person learns everything from his own experience, no one comes from mother's stomach. It was all new for me, too. Now it has become a habit to listen to their taunts.
Taunts on everything like they do not know how to respect elders, do not know how to touch the feet of elders, do not know how to cook good food, do not know how to do veil and many more, the list is very long. I was saddened the most on the day my husband jokingly taunted that he got less dowry than his friends. I had never expected such words from my husband, the in-laws used to taunt me sometimes on this matter. I should be happy with my in-laws. But I never thought that such a joke would be heard from my husband. Now my baby is 3 years old, and I am very happy with him, but all these things are changing with time with new tones and probably will continue like this. Now even if I think about myself then life like a queen Somewhere I am lost and my name too. Maybe this is what life is called.
