How the Jedi Code A Guide To Better Mental Health

While completely fictional, the puzzling concept known as "The Force" is based on some very real principles. In the movie, Star Wars, the "Force" is often spoken of by members of a religious order called the Jedi. The warrior-priests of the Jedi Order served as the main proponents of what they believed to be the core concepts of The Force.

The concept and order are fictional, but the principles by which the Jedi lead their lives are excellent guides for living, especially amidst all the chaos of the modern world. While the "Dark Side" of The Force is equated not to evil but to negative influences in one's life, the principles of the Jedi Code can easily be used to create a personal philosophy for living a good life. That is, full of healthy mental attitude. Below you'll find some thoughts on the fundamentals of Jedi philosophy and how they can be adapted to the trials and tribulations of modern life.

There is no feeling; There is peace.

Being able to control one's emotions was important to the Jedi, as their actions often required that they be as objective as possible. Fear and anxiety can have a negative effect on one's judgment, which in turn can wreak havoc on one's life. By controlling your stress and anxiety, separating it from the tasks that need to be done, you can find better solutions to your problems if you allow your anxiety to influence your analysis of the situation. This concept does not recommend denying one's feelings, as doing so can lead to more anxiety disorders and psychological problems. It only says that people should let logic and analysis guide their decisions, not their emotions.

There is no ignorance; knowledge.

The Jedi Order favored the prescribed pursuit of knowledge. To support the quest for the Enlightenment, he built a lavish library that contained the amount of information on a variety of subjects and subjects that were needed to educate and train a Jedi. He also shared that knowledge, to better enlighten the people he was trying to save. Many problems of anxiety and fear can be reduced if people take the time to understand things. A little knowledge can help someone overcome the fear and anxiety that comes with being exposed to an entirely foreign culture. In some cases, anxiety disorders can be overcome simply by equipping one's mind with sufficient knowledge about the source of the worry, thus allowing a person to better understand and cope with the problem.

There is no passion; There is peace.

Similar to the first theory, the Jedi believed that being too passionate about something was dangerous, as it could affect one's judgment and objectivity. For those in their positions, fairness was important in almost all situations. The same can be said of almost anyone in the modern world. Emotions and obsessions can impair our ability to make good decisions, as well as adversely affect our ability to recognize and correct our mistakes so that further damage can be avoided. Staying calm in the face of an impossible bureaucracy can go a long way in keeping one's mental health state stable and away from "getting the mail". As long as you don't let your stress and anxiety build up by focusing on negative things, your mind remains relax. You can make better decisions and have a clearer look at what's going on in your life.

There is no death, only power.

The Jedi believed that when someone dies, they become one with The Force. This allowed him to see death not as a negative event, but only as a transition that inevitably had to go into the past. Adopting this in modern life, negative events that can be described as "death", as noted in philosophy, serve as a metaphor for "force". In other words, it is basically saying that, regardless of all the negative events in one's life, regardless of all the fear and anxiety, the nausea induced by corporate and family duties, stagnant life. To use a metaphor to explain to another, if something bad comes your way, stop and smell the roses. Your whole life will not be decided by a car accident or improper termination. Life goes on and on, and so should you.

Considering all the above principles, it is difficult to see how they could fail to lead to a better state of mind even in the midst of the chaos of modern life. i.e. if they are followed like a personal philosophy and not taken as mere guidelines. Moreover, if one supports contrary to the above principles, he/she is liable to burn out quickly.
