How the Israeli army, Hamas fighters fiercely fight in Gaza

Hamas fighters, the armed group of the Palestinian independence movement, are fighting fiercely with the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. Israeli forces say they are 'destroying Hamas step by step' with air and ground strikes in Gaza. On the other hand, Hamas said that they killed an Israeli soldier and destroyed several armored vehicles by retaliating.

Israel continues to bombard Gaza in response to a surprise attack by Hamas on October 7. Recently, Israeli soldiers entered the valley with tanks and other armored vehicles. Today, Tuesday, they entered further into northern Gaza. The Israeli army said that they are clashing with Hamas in these areas.

Peter Lerner, spokesman for the Israeli military, said on the BBC's breakfast program, "There was a massive exchange of fire between the Israeli army and Hamas fighters in Gaza on Monday night." Hamas is being destroyed one by one, step by step. Lerner complained that Hamas was operating from mosques and civilian buildings.

Israeli forces are attacking "all areas" of Gaza, spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said. He said today, 'Northern Gaza is the focus of our activities. The region is dominated by Hamas. But we are continuing to attack other areas of Gaza. Israeli forces have reported that they have killed dozens of "terrorists" in ground operations in Gaza.Besides, the anti-tank missile launcher was destroyed and a large amount of ammunition was seized.

Israeli forces told residents of northern Gaza to move to the south of the Gaza Strip amid bombardment two weeks ago. After that, many people in the north fled from their homes. Six hundred thousand Palestinians are still believed to be there. Jonathan Conricus said that everything is being done to ensure that civilians are not killed in Israeli attacks.

Meanwhile, Hamas' armed wing Al Qassam Brigades said in a telegram that it destroyed three Israeli vehicles in northern Gaza. Among them are two armored vehicles and one tank. Apart from this, they also demanded to kill an Israeli soldier. And Gaza's armed group Islamic Jihad said it launched mortar attacks on two groups of Israeli troops and armored vehicles in northwestern Gaza.

The local Ministry of Health said that 8 thousand 525 people have died so far in 25 consecutive days of Israeli attacks in Gaza. Among them 3 thousand 542 children and 2 thousand 187 women. Among the dead were 130 health workers. On the other hand, more than 1,400 people have died in the attacks of Hamas in Israel.

Netanyahu rejects ceasefire calls, says 'it's time for war'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected Palestinian calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Netanyahu said these things in a press briefing organized for foreign media in Tel Aviv on Monday.

Netanyahu said the Bible says 'there is a time for peace and a time for war.'

Quoting the Bible, Netanyahu said, 'It is time for war. A battle for our common future.'

Netanyahu said he wanted to clarify Israel's position on the ceasefire. Just as the United States did not agree to a cease-fire after the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941 or the terrorist attacks of 2001, Israel will not agree to a cease-fire after the horrific attacks of October 7.

Netanyahu also said that the call for a ceasefire means a call for Israel to surrender to Hamas, a call to surrender to terrorism.

The UN has repeatedly called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. In addition, various countries and international organizations are calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. UNICEF says the situation in Gaza is getting worse by the hour.

However, Israel is not listening to the call for a ceasefire. They continue to attack Gaza massively.

On October 7, Hamas, a Palestinian armed organization based in Gaza, launched a surprise attack on Israel. 1 thousand 405 people were killed in Israel in the attack. In addition, Hamas has taken more than two hundred people from Israel and taken them as hostages to Gaza.

In response, Israel has been besieging Gaza since October 7 and carrying out indiscriminate bombings. Israel is also conducting ground operations in Gaza. Over 8,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli attack on Gaza for 24 days.
