Both phones weigh more and are thicker. The 13 Pro gains 15 grams, while the 13 Pro Max gains 12 more. When I used the 13 Pro, I became more aware of the added weight. Both phones have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and Apple's Ceramic Shield on the front.
The 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max both have screens that are 6.1 inches in size. The screens are much brighter when in use. The displays contain what Apple calls ProMotion, which enables the iPhone to support a high refresh rate for the first time ever. The refresh rate fluctuates between 10 and 120Hz depending on what is being displayed on the screen. This strategy is similar to that used by Samsung with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The screen looks fantastic when in usage. Even commonplace tasks like scrolling feeds look better, with animations appearing fluid and images looking clear.
