The working of Bio chip.
The reader generates a low-power, electromagnetic field, in this case via radio signals, which “activates” the implanted bio chip. This “activation” enables the bio chip to send the ID code back to the reader via radio signals. The reader amplifies the received code, converts it to digital format, decodes and displays the ID number on the reader’s LCD.
The bio chip implant system consists of a two-component,
Transponder,
Reader.
THE Transponder,
It is the actual bio chip implant. This is a passive transponder which means that it doesn’t contain any of its own energy or battery whereas in passive, it is not active until the operator activates it by giving it a low electrical charge because the passive bio chip contains no battery, or nothing to wear out, it has a very long life.
This transponder consists of four parts
Computer microchip,
Antenna coil,
tuning capacitor,
Glass capsule,
Computer Microchip:
The computer microchip stores a unique identification (UID) number that ranges from 10 digits to 15 digits long.
Antenna Coil:
The antenna coil is very small, primitive and this type of antenna is used to send and receive the signals from the scanner or reader.
Tuning Capacitor:
The capacitor stores the small electrical charge (less than 1/1000 of a watt) sent by the reader or scanner, which activates the transponder. This “activation” allows the transponder to send back the ID number encoded in the computer chip.
Glass Capsule:
The glass capsule holds the antenna coil, capacitor, and microchip, and it is made with a biocompatible material, namely soda lime glass. It is a small capsule, the smallest.
READER.
The reader consists of an “exciter” coil which creates an electromagnetic field that, via radio signals, provides the necessary energy (less than 1/1000 of a watt) to “excite” or “activate” the implanted bio chip. The reader also carries a receiving coil that receives the transmitted code or ID number sent back from the “activated” implanted bio chip. This all takes place very fast, in milliseconds.
The reader also contains the software and components to decode the received code and display the result in an LCD.
The reader must normally be between 2 and 12 inches near the bio chip to communicate. The reader and bio chip can communicate through most materials, except metal.
Bio chips Advantages:
small, powerful and faster.
Bio chips are useful in finding the lost people.
Bio chips can be used to identify the persons individually.
Bio chips perform thousands of biological reactions in a few seconds.
Bio chips Disadvantages:
Bio chips are expensive
Bio chip raises dangerous problems of individual privacy.
Bio chip marks the end of human being liberty and self-respect.
It can be fixed into the human’s body without their interference.
Bio chips Applications:
By using this chip, we can trace a person or animal anywhere in the world.
This chip is used to store and update the information of a person like medical financial and demographics.
A bio chip leads to safe E-commerce systems.
These chips are effective in restoring the records of medical, cash, passport, etc.
Bio chip definition.
A bio chip is a set of miniaturized microarrays that are placed on a strong substrate that allows many experiments to be executed at the same time to obtain a high through put in less time. Its surface area is not larger than a finger nail. Like a computer chip that can perform millions of mathematical operations in one second, a bio chip can perform thousands of biological reactions in a few seconds, like decoding genes. The bio chip system is a radio frequency identification (RFID) system, using low-frequency.
