Growth and progress are fueled by innovation, therefore in order for everyone to move forward including established businesses responding to new competitors we must upend long standing procedures, goods, services, and industries.
The future of social communications is being and will continue to be shaped by innovation. The fact that Internet connections are becoming more mobile is already a reality. According to a poll we did in early 2013 in collaboration with , 94 percent of tint users between the ages of 16 and 35 had cell phones, 84 percent of users used their phones to access the Internet, and 47 percent of users had mobile data subscriptions. seventy four percent of users said they used their phone to access the Internet. The use of smart phones is growing in daily life. These days, we use our smart phones for many of the same tasks that other objects once performed. seventy five percent of young people said they had switched from mp players to phones, and 74 percent said they used their phones as alarm clocks, 70 percent as cameras, and 67 percent as watches.
We made the decision to remake ourselves by putting smart phones at the center of our strategy because we have been monitoring these changes for some time. I want to use this example to illustrate the new revolution that mobile connectivity is bringing about in the realm of social communication and the Internet in general.
We still have a long way to go in the realm of the Internet, therefore mobile communications as we know them need to be digitally re imagined. The impact of mobility combined with innovation will determine the future. This holds true not only for social media but also for the Internet as a whole, especially for the area of social communications. I believe that a lot of people are unaware of what we are doing and the potential for growth that businesses similar to ours could have on a global scale. It's possible that someone is currently working on the technology that will completely rewrite the rules of the Internet somewhere in the world. The instrument that, once used, will change our daily lives.
