How the feeling of acceptance is eating you up?

Why there is such a constant urge in us to feel accepted by society?

To feel accepted by our family, our friends, our relatives?

And when it will even end?

It will only end if we first learn and try to accept ourselves the way we are.

Do not worry, it's not only you who is struggling with all the constant ups and downs of life, it's all of us from that fruit vendor near your street to every 9 to 6 working man in office.

If we think, when does one even start to yearn for acceptance?

Had it started from the day you were born? If yes, then will it continue till the day you die?

Just think then, your whole life would be gone in this loop of being accepted and not being accepted. When will you even live for the real you?

Not only this, there comes many phases in our lives when we feel the need to be accepted.

Let me ask,

Is it when you first feel of being non accepted?

Is it when we fall into that trap of not so necessary "peer pressure"?

Is it when we fall for someone and start loving them so much and want them to love us back too? Isn't that a kind of selfish love?

Is it when we got placed somewhere in a new company?

Is it when we want our new family to accept us?

Is it when the new country you live and new people you meet seems stranger to you?

Is it when your very first book got published?

I believe, it is all of these situations when we feel low and wants our being to be accepted.

Body builders, wrestlers, athletes and many into sports take drugs and use unfair means to win. Why? Just for being accepted. For them, winning is acceptance.

When you're in love, you want your partner or mate to accept you with heart.

Writers and Authors spend hours and days to write content familiar to their readers and publish their creation with the exact same words that reader wants. Why? Just to please them.

When you get married and are a new member of family, you want to be nurtured, cared about and wants to feel belonged.

Starting a new job or work is always tough. It is tough to fit in it. Fitting = Acceptance.

City or Country scares us and feels challenging to fit and settling in.

Now, if we talk about peer pressure, then it is no less than eating children up. Those emotions and fears of being accepted by their peers makes it more struggling.

You always wanted your parents to be happy and smile, every time you please them as a child.

Non-acceptance leaves the wound forever and a scar with which you need to live with. All of us have these worries and desires and this hunger of being accepted by all, some have more and some are even obsessed with our thinking of trying to fit in.

All of this is affecting your self-esteem, you feel low, you feel worthless and wouldn't feel like to do anything productive. Slowly and gradually this will eat you up.

Solution:

Try being patient and kind with that every person you meet who's suffering from this constant struggle.

Comfort the person dealing with this. Maybe, they're going through a lot. Make them realize their importance and how beautiful they are.

Telling them to stop thinking about it won't help. Because they can't do that, they need support, they need love for being handled.

Make them feel they are accepted by everybody. They don't need to change or try to fit in always in the situation and so as you.

Small-small changes made by us will matter in the coming time.
