How the Depression Can be Treated

No one should underestimate the depression, it’s a real disease and may lead towards serious consequences and without family support and patience no one can be pulled out of this misery. Good news is that depression is curable and mostly patients pass their normal life after overcoming the disease. According to an estimate about 80 percent patients are completely recovered through medications and psycho assisted techniques.  In recent time a lot of successful therapies are available to treat the depression including behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, rational therapy, interpersonal therapy and emotive therapy. In such methods both approaches are implicated psychodynamics and family deployed practices but is also depending upon the financial health, available resources and most important the severity of the indication. In treating depression most important is o work on the cognitive behavior of the patient, as mood swings, recalling the pass events, igniting thoughts, irritating statements, annoying characters and personalities may become the predisposing factors to bring back the patients again in depression and his/ her mental condition may become worsen and treatment of patient may be complicated. Cognitive behavior can be well analyzed on the basis of history taking including events and infuriating characters. Treatment start with supportive statements that life is beautiful and by thinking about past nothing can be added but problems for us and our family we should leave the igniting thoughts and should move forward to bring happiness and success in our life for best benevolence of society and our home. Techniques are just to forget the past characters and event and try to thank God how brilliant and positive objects he has created for us to deliver our positive yield instead the irrelevant and negative thoughts. In Interpersonal therapy, we help the patients to improve his/ her social interaction in society. He is guided to show his strengths of communication, assertiveness, cognition, public speaking, handling public and delivering his own narrative about some topic or subject. Most important along with psychological support and counselling, patients should take their prescribed medicine without any omission, it may lead towards the relapse of the indication.
