The interviewer wants to hear your personal experiences with Michael Kors products and with the Michael Kors brand. The interviewer wants to see if you are generally knowledgeable about, and interested in, major business acquisitions by Michael Kors, and how those will impact the future of Michael Kors. Show the interviewer that you understand the importance of diversity and inclusivity, and have researched how Michael Kors goes about making sure that the company is creating an environment where each type of team member can succeed. In addition to being at the forefront of the Michael Kors market, I also appreciate the dedication that you show toward your talented employees: The company is an outspoken advocate for diversity of ideas and people, and it fosters creativity, innovation, and integrity among its teammates.
You have said that you want to work in the fashion industry and that you think working for Michael Kors is a good place to learn. Look around at jobs in retail or fashion, and find a position that you could see yourself doing five years from now.
Part of being a great manager is being able to motivate others, so it is crucial that you are able to successfully answer that question. Answering this question correctly is important because it shows that you have ambition and are goal-oriented.
This is a nerve-wracking question as if you ask for too much, you will not get the job, while if you ask for too little, they will happily underpay you. Let the interviewer know that money is never a good motivator, and just giving them a pat on the back goes a long way.
Say that you think it is important for employees to be told what they are doing wrong and what they should be improving. Tell the interviewer that there is an Employee of the Month Award and that you had some involvement in the nomination process. For instance, saying that you want to see yourself working in fashion or retail would make it seem as though your professional goals are in line with the company's goals at Michael Kors.
Michael Kors has hired professional interviewers--people who have years of experience interviewing candidates--to help create our interview questions and write sample answers. Michael Kors aims to create interview questions and answers that best equip you to take the job interview, which means we do not expect you to memorize our answers. I did some research into that as part of the preparation for your interview, and what I saw was Michael Kors had relationships with a variety of agents that procured finished goods from a number of manufacturers and contractors on its behalf. If a customer is at the Fifth Avenue store and calls to ask for assistance, he or she hears the same music playing in the background at the store as they do when they make a phone call--the customer service agents also hear exactly what is playing at the store.
Candidates might even want to bring in their own Michael Kors clothes and accessories for every interview, in order to get preferential treatment compared with other potential employees.
