How does tall buildings safe for the environment?

Tall buildings possess so many advantages for the environment because they enable the government to escape from deforestation. Many countries where natural disaster often occurs does not ban tall building but tries to make a policy or constitution universal for all the people of the country. We will discuss its example later down in the blog.

Apart from this, it possesses some demerits toward the environment. The common disadvantage is that people from the surroundings fear that it might not collapse. If it collapsed, then they will crush under the fallen building. However, they don't know the mechanism behind it.

But don't worry, I am here to clear your all doubts.

STRUCTURE OF TALL BUILDINGS;

Before, talking about the performance of the tall building at the moment of natural calamity. We must be known about the internal structure of most tall buildings. Firstly, they dig a giant hole and fit a very immense large pile in the middle, whose length is almost the same as the height of the Building. And they also fit several piles (whose length is one-third of the total length of the building) on the surrounding of the middle pile to make it more stable.

The internal structure of tall buildings is almost the same because their purpose is almost the same too. It is also a fact that every building whether short or tall is designed with full precaution. But collapsed when any natural calamity experience them. How far the tallest building performance is so far?

There are several natural calamities, but we will discuss only the most common ones.

EARTH QUAKE;

As far as earthquake is concerned, we should know their background of them. The highest magnitude of earthquake ever recorded is 9.5 in Chile which made very devastating conditions. 

If we look at the place of the tallest buildings, we will find that they are situated in areas, where the ratio of earthquakes is relatively quite low. But it is a natural calamity that can occur anytime.

The highest magnitude of earthquake ever recorded is 7.0 in Dubai and Burj Khalifa easily survived. Just like this, all the other buildings are constructed in a way, that they can survive earthquakes below 8.0, if earthquakes occur up to 8.0 they might struggle.

FLOODS;

Floods are also a very disgusting natural calamity, that moves so fast and can destroy trees, cars, infrastructure and other things. But the thing is to be noted that, architecture takes it too seriously while constructing infrastructure. They always prefer constructing infrastructure far away from the seaside or coastal areas, to prevent floods or something else. That is the reason, the big creatures escape from these sorts of things. Similarly, All the tallest buildings are away from the coastal areas.

LIGHTNING AND THUNDERING;

Lightning is so much dangerous because it contains 300 million volts and about 30000 Amps. Whereas, in the house, we use 120 Volts and 15 Amps. 

Architecture always installs Lightning Protection System (LPS) which deflects, absorbs, and protects buildings from any unfortunate events.

The world's tallest building got hit by heavy lightning in January 2022. But nothing had happened to it. Just due to the installation of LPS.

MERITS OF TALL BUILDINGS;

Living in a building is far more comfortable than on the floor because it gives you freedom from noise pollution. It enables you to live in the fresh air and gives you a pleasant view. The most important benefit of building is that it plays a handy role in controlling land scarcity.

This is the reason, countries with greater natural calamity risks don't want to abolish buildings.

COUNTRY ALLOWING BUILDING, IN FACT OF BEING HIGH RISK OF NATURAL CALAMITY;

Japan, is the country where earthquake occurs most often, making their life miserable, but still, they are allowing building to exist. The reason behind it is that they don't want to make the land a scarce resource. however, to account for this obstacle they had made certain rules for construction, which everyone is bound to obey otherwise they will have to pay for it.

They have made it obligatory for everyone to construct their infrastructure's base with rubber or wood. Because rubber and wood have a high tendency to bear earthquakes.

DEMERITS OF TALL BUILDINGS;

The demerits of tall buildings are very few in nunumber, The major demerit of these buildings is that are following.

BAD SYSTEM OF DAILY USAGE STUFF;

When numbers of people live in a very small area then the stuff will be divided equally among all, which means you will not have the freedom of using anything. But there mean not bread, clothes or anything else, here mean is Electricity, sewage and other things else like.

SUGGESTIONS;

Everything in this universe is not useless, everything has developed for some purpose. But some posses more bad impacts on the society and some posses much fine impact on the society.

This is true if you use a knife for opening a box it may harm but if you use the same knife for cutting vegetables it will not harm you. We can conclude a way that we should think and use everything for which it is made or organized.
