How success in our life?

As a former Goldman Sachs banker, and I've got used to think in dollars and cents. But as I moved up the career ladder, I realized that it is making more and more money; it's not exactly what I consider to be a success. The financial benefits of the work, without feeling a sense of pride and achievement, in which the task may seem to be hollow, and to my private-equity career of a decade ago, and it left me unsatisfied. And I'm on the left.

Conventional wisdom has long said that money cannot buy happiness, but it is much more difficult. Recent studies have demonstrated that higher income is associated with a longer life expectancy and higher satisfaction levels; there has been a break-even point: when our material needs are met financially, earning more money doesn't bring more happiness. I got to the point where I wanted to have something tangible that combines my passion for health and my desire to improve people's lives.

In my first successful attempt, as an entrepreneur, it is recommended that food supplements suitable for this purpose. Even after a great deal of business success, I have not made time to see my family, to travel the world several times a year, and, in general, do the things that contribute to my happiness. It all started with a simple concept: I was lying to myself about its success. I was more interested in how much money I could make and is much more interested in the impact, the time is short, and the joy that I could get the money.

Don't let the luck of the price of "success."
As soon as I realized that my personal indicators of success, happiness, and contentment, I realized how much time I had to pursue the unseemly purposes. I have to help my co-workers, and other businesses understand what determines their success, other than cash, of the three strategies.

1. To change your current job to get it to you in your life.
In the end, everyone is trying to find meaning in our lives, and this is, in essence, can be different for every one of us. For some, it's a life; it is about the education of our children or our society. For others, it means that you will be able to see the world and introduce yourself to the coolest new technology. There is no right or wrong answer for everyone, but it's right or wrong for you. Therefore, the first step should be to determine what gives meaning to your life and assess whether your current method of achieving these results is right.

If you live your life, the goal is not just to be at the top of your current level, so it does not look at what's most important to you. If I actually made it in the balance sheet of my life, and I asked, sitting up in my boss's boss's chair for 10 or 20 years, it would make me happy. The answer is a clear "no." This is not to say that I will never go back to the fund, and you can't know what my life's purpose will be for the next 30 years. Finance does not fulfill my personal goals at this stage of my life, but they can move on to the next one. To do this, try to think in terms of intervals of five years. Goals and aspirations may be-are almost certainly change over time.

My earnest desire is, how will I know that I have passed to know that I can make a positive impact on the lives of people with a sense of satisfaction in the creation of an independent and profitable company, and to the satisfaction of the community, as a team, to have fun, to have to do something of value. Of course, I've made a mistake. If I didn't scratch this itch, this is a lifelong marvel that would be, " What if?"

2. Enter your values and economic value.
Your values are the guiding principles for the sequence of decisions and trade-offs between life and your career. The best way to decide on the best places to invest in is by assigning an economic value to every decision. If it's comfort and it's home to make life meaningful, then you should be able to make it to wear jeans to work or to work at a distance. Ask yourself this question: Will it matter that I'm willing to lose a couple of thousand dollars in annual revenue to keep it?
