Anyone who owns a cat will tell you that cats are very good at communicating with humans, even though they are very special. Normally, a cat will choose a person for the home of its partner. You will know when the cat wants to be close to you, as it will jump on your lap and demand attention or catch you at night while you sleep. Purring is a strong sign of love, especially for cats who want to get close.
Although many experts have tried to find it, no one really knows why cats choose someone they will be close to. It could be the habits, the voice, or the way the person treats the cat. Maybe the person is really gentle, or maybe he is too strong - to bring the best to the cat.
Mother's cat Ti Gris
My mother had a cat that was very close to her. She was a big gray cat, she called him Ti Gris (Slight Gray) She was a cook in the restaurant, and when she got home she was sometimes very tired and Ti Gris was always waiting for her. She would roll over on her back, letting him rub his belly. He always managed to put a smile on his face. You could see that they both really cared about each other. He was following her around. My mother died suddenly one morning and my father found her dead in her sleep, and after her burial Ti Gris suddenly disappeared and was never seen again. He did not want to stay home without his mother. No one knows what happened to Ti Gris.
Another interesting story about a particular cat.
After moving from a farm, we bought a new house in a small town. The heating system came from the lower channels coming out of the central furnace. Somehow our female cat found its way into one of those channels, when you put it out it always crawled through that tunnel and sucked hard to get in. We had to clear the grill to get in all the time. Dad lost his temper with that cat. So he decided to take her down to a forest about 30 miles [50 km] from home. He did not tell us that, so we thought he had just died. But two years later, one morning we heard a commotion in the air. Well, this is weird! The cat was back. Explain to me how after two years and two bitter winters he found his way back to earth! My mother was crying, looking good again. He amazed us so much that he entered our hearts. We kept him and no one ever complained about his bad habit.
About the courage and love of cat life
Again, this story is not very common, but it is true. The big yellow cat we had on the farm to keep our farm free of rats, hunted its normal mice in a grass field. My father cut the grass with a tractor and a hay bale with a long arm on the sidewalk. This arm stretches under the grass, about one inch above the ground. The poor cat was in a grass field that day, and the lawn mower cut the tips of his 4 legs. He fled with his blood on the ground and hid under a grain shed, about two inches [6 cm] from the ground. He stayed there for at least a month.
Everyone thought he was dead. But after a few months, he would jump up and down with his cut claws. My father tried to shoot him because he did not want him to suffer. He did not succeed. He became a wild cat and lovingly hated people. No one could come near her again, she was screaming and screaming, and she would certainly bite your hand if you insisted on her. We called it La Chatty Marine. (Angry Cat) You can blame her! If someone I trust cuts off my legs and tries to shoot me, I'm sure I will not love him or her.
We had just left him alone, and he lived for another six years. I think there must have been rats living under the grain structure. He had plenty of food. But her life in the bitter cold was commendable. He is lonely, miserable and proud. He still loved life and showed real courage for the common domestic cat. Those who have just gotten cats may find the encounter very different. Cats are different from other animals, including dogs, in the sense that they bind in different ways. Different breeds of cats will co-operate differently with their owners, although most prefer preference and attention. The more time you spend with your cat, the closer you will feel to it.
