How South Korean Tourist Facing Tough Time During Visit to India

South Korean Twitch streamer Hyojeong Park, who goes by the handle "Mhyochi" on the streaming platform and social media, was harassed on November 29 by two young people who were identified as Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari.Mhyochi is currently in India and frequently streams her journey online. Both of the accused were arrested after the incident video went viral on social media."As I was walking back to my hotel, I started live-streaming to show people about my trip," Hyojeong Park told Republic."When two men stood in the street and one of them yelled, "I love you," I was almost there. It was about 11:50 p.m., and when you create content, there are times when people want to participate in the conversation or show interest.

"I love you back," Park said to the accused youths. After that, one of the accused approached her, wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and attempted to kiss her cheek.Thankfully, one person who was watching my live stream was already aware of the situation. She elaborated, "They started to distance themselves after he said something, even though I didn't understand what he said to them." He came over to assist me and communicated with those individuals in Hindi.

Hyojeong claims that the incident made her so upset that she wept in her bed.Nonetheless, one of her Indian companions assisted her with recovering, and she at last chose to report the episode to the Mumbai Police.I cried in bed after the incident."One of my Indian friends advised me to upload the incident video and notify the Mumbai Police," she added in detail.

When asked about the response in South Korea to the horrific incident, Park responded that she has not yet informed her family, including her mother, because "she has her own problems."

When asked if she was pleased with the police action, she responded, "It's a tricky question."I must confess that I am satisfied with it.If I weren't an outsider or if I didn't have a video, I might conclude that the police would have done the same thing."

Following the incident, a few individuals attributed Hyojeong Park, also known as Mhyochi, to being too friendly."One thing I feared was that I could beat him assuming that he was separated from everyone else, except assuming he was with a companion bunch holding up there, that is really startling," Mhyochi stated. "That is really startling."Please refrain from disclosing any wrongdoings to me.Did I?Maybe I should stop smiling at strangers. Is that accurate?disregarding the dignity of others. What do you mean by that, exactly?Don't say that I did anything wrong.People always accuse me of wrongdoing whenever something like this occurs, even in Egypt. After that, she pleaded with the person who was blaming her to leave the stream and stop following her.

According to Park, "the people who have done wrong" will not change her perspective on India even after this experience. There will be no alteration at all.Any nation or location could have experienced something like this. She begged people not to judge the country based on a five-minute video.I get free paani-puri 99 percent of the time on the street when amazing people invite me to weddings. The focus is not on India; It addresses criminals."

What's more, Hyojeong empowered people who are faced with comparable conditions yet don't make some noise. She stated, "I want this to serve as an example for people to speak up when they are harassed, not just women."
