How Solar Power is Alternate Energy Sources

Solar power is the conversion of renewable energy from sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), indirectly using concentrated solar power, or a combination. Lenses or mirrors and solar tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. Light into an electric current using the photovoltaic effect.

A source of electricity for small and medium-sized applications, from the calculator powered by a single solar cell to remote homes powered by an off-grid rooftop PV system. The solar power plants were first developed in the 1980s. Electricity has fallen, grid-connected solar PV systems have grown more or less exponentially. Gigawatt-scale photovoltaic power stations have been and are being built. Solar become an inexpensive, low-carbon technology.

The International Energy Agency said in 2021 that under its "Net Zero by 2050" scenario solar power would contribute about 20% of worldwide energy consumption, and solar would be the world's largest source of electricity. In 2020, solar power generated 3.5% of the world's electricity, compared to under 3% the previous year.  In 2020 the unsubsidized legalized cost of electricity for utility-scale solar power was around $36/MWh, and installation cost about a dollar per DC watt.

Gasoline and it seems as though there is none, at least for the present,  gasoline formulas, but this will only give us better miles per gallon and of course, much cleaner bi-products with its use. Ethanol becomes a temporary

fix…at best.  The need for the corn base sugars(and other similar sugar and starch crops) to produce it. That will eventually begin to deplete the food stock of our nation and also hurt our exports of these grains. With the need of our corn crop, grow the extra acreage that would be needed to meet any anticipated needs.

All in all, we must accept the fact that we will not be able to have our gas and eat our corn muffins too.  To derive the Ethanol fuel, such as soybeans, sugar beet, raw sugarcane.  The choice will be gas for our automobiles, and along with this will eventually come a vast depletion of one or more of our key domestic and export crops. It will eventually come to be, but without other renewable energy fuels developed in tandem, such as the Hydrogen based fuel cell to assist the Ethanol fuel approach, this could lend itself to some key food staple shortages.

Solar energy is a possible approach being tinkered with to produce Hydrogen in order to power our future power plants, and it is hoped that electricity, which now helps to deplete our fossil fuels, will help us to deliver the fuel needed to produce power for advanced “Fuel Cells” being developed to power the automobiles and trucks.

The Solar energy is fully renewable and therefore must be considered.

The conversion of energy from sunlight into electricity.  People uses for sunlight, see Solar energy. Light from stars and galaxies, see Solar luminosity.

Solar energy is the radiation from the Sun capable of producing heat, causing chemical reactions, or generating electricity. The total amount of solar energy received on Earth is vastly more than the world's current and anticipated energy requirements.
