How Smart Phones affects our youth- Boon or Bane for Youths ?

A smartphone is a technical device that is now being used by every citizen of a country & the whole world. But it is a controversial matter, whether smartphones are a boon or a bane to the younger generation or the youth of the country and for the whole world.

So, today’s article is regarding that.

As we all know, Nowadays, the whole world is evolving digitally after the breakdown of the pandemic in the year 2019. With this digital raising of the whole world, there is a great need for smart devices also among which smartphones are the first, and it’s the first choice of every human being living on this earth. It can be said that, if a person has a smartphone in his hand, then he can run the whole world with this small devices holding in his hand. A smartphone is such kind of device by using which you can do every kind of work right from clicking picture, selfies to online form fill up. But due to this digital rising of the whole world, there is also an involvement of digital studies for young students and those who are pursuing their higher education or degrees. It’s OK for the students who are pursuing their degrees or higher education to use smartphones or laptops, as there is a great need to know about all these smart things, so that we can do our work smartly. There is a proverb in English that is "To work smarter, not harder". Because even a cab driver works hard to bring his bread and butter every day, but an educated man should work more smartly, not in a harder way. Besides all this, young students of the whole world and especially referring to students of the age group 6 – 19 years are also using their smartphones and laptops for their studies. They are telling their parents to bring them smartphones for online classes, for presentations, assignments, etc. to bring them laptops for all these and their parents also think that it’s OK to bring them such devices which can help them in their studies in a way better than a pen and a paper. But they are not understanding that a small percentage of students are using these smart devices in the wrong way. They are using this to spend their time on social media, play games, to watch videos that are not at all applicable or good for such kinds of young students.

Many cases have been reported that, after getting smartphones in their hand, young students started to play online games using money. They ask their parents to give them money to play the games and, in this contrast, if their parents denied giving any money to them to play the game then they might get evolve as an antisocial element.

Besides all these, the SAR value of these smartphones is quite higher than compared to old keypad phones. Due to this high SAR value, many diseases is being reported in the world with a maximum number of Brain Cancer, Brain Tumor and Brain Hamrage. On the other hand, they are now being used globally and frequently by many scientists for keeping their records of study and research data. Smartphones all played an important role in the Global Positioning System (GPS), and because of this, it has been easier now to find locate a place within a short or minimal period of time.

So it is a matter of great concern to look into the matter of how young generation students are using these devices after getting them in their hands to gift them a bright future. Intelligent and smart devices are a blessing to society and humans kind but, because of some people who are negatively using them, so they may also be termed as negative smart devices as we all know that in this regard negative things attract people much faster than positive things.

So am I concluding that smartphones are usually a blessing for humankind, but not for all human beings. It’s their way of perceiving how they are going to use it for their future, for their studies, for their involvement to promote them in a quality manner to others.
