How Skin Care from acne, 8 Simple Tips To Follow

Acne is a disease that usually affects the skin condition of people between the ages of 12 and 24. The cause of acne is difficult to determine. However, over-secretion of the sebaceous glands has been reported to trigger most acne outbreaks.

The "pilosebaceous "units are a combination of hair follicles and oil glands in the skin." Pilosebaceous" units are found on skin tissue throughout the body, except for the surface of the palms and the soles of the feet. They are responsible for secreting an oily substance called sebum.

However, a number of factors such as hormonal imbalances, stress and the natural state of the skin can cause the oil glands to produce more sebum than normal. When this happens, the excess oil clogs the pores of the skin. This process brings about bacterial infection and stimulates the immune system response. Ultimately, acne is the result of inflammation.

Pimples can occur on any type of skin. An oily skin type is most susceptible to acne. On the other hand dry skin may not be as sensitive but severe outbreaks can occur during winters. Normal skin is equally susceptible to acne, but the level of severity may not be as high.

Currently, acne is not yet completely curable, but it can be treated with some acne skin care methods. Many people take the help of topical medications, which are applied to the surface of the skin. However, employing the use of acne skin care products like "pore strip pads" can make whiteheads and blackheads go away, but they will have no effect on the excess sebum produced.

Nevertheless, for treatment and prevention, it is best to adopt the following 8 simple tips:

1. A healthy, balanced diet should be followed. Therefore, your food intake should include all the essential nutrients that the body needs for efficient functioning.

2. Drink plenty of fluids like water, juice. Minimize the consumption of carbonated drinks.

3. No makeup is recommended.

4. Wash your face with mild soap and water. The logic is not to remove dirt (as most acne-prone individuals experience) but to remove plugs on skin pores, which can be a combination of dead skin cells, bacteria and hardened sebum. Although dirt doesn't actually cause acne, it can contribute to further infection through interaction with skin debris and particles and excess oil in the skin.

5. Use topical cleansing pads that may contain one or a combination of the following: salicylic acid, sulfur and benzoyl peroxide to remove excess oil. Another way to reduce the presence of excess oil in the skin is to wash your face with the hottest water possible.

6. Minimize the use of harsh cleansers and use acne skin care items that exfoliate lightly. Do not scrub the affected areas vigorously.

7. If you have hands are dirty, avoid touching your face.

8. If you have long hair, then tie your hair in such a way that it stays away from the face. This is especially so when the weather is hot, and you are sweating.

Preventive acne skin care steps are as important as treating acne. With prevention, at least, you know how to make sure your acne problem doesn't escalate and  spread to the infected area.
