A good body image is one that we should all strive for. That's when you know yourself and who you are. You have a very realistic view of your size, shape, and weight. You see yourself as you really are right now. You accept it, even though you may gain weight. He believes in you and loves himself while you are still fighting for something better. If you have a good body image, no time is spent focusing on diet, weight, calories, exercise, etc. You are proud of who you are, you feel comfortable in your body.
Most people who suffer from anorexia nervosa do not have good body image. Instead, they have the most distorted pictures of how they see themselves. Here are six steps you can take to begin the journey.
1. Create a list of your favorite people. Write down why you like each person. As you write down your favorite traits, be careful what you write down.
For example, suppose you have a lot of respect for Oprah. Your list could include his generosity toward people, his willingness to stand up for what he believes in, and his strong character in finding success regardless of his background. You don’t like Oprah because of her looks; he praises her for the difference she has made in the world. For his role in society. How it touched and changed so many lives.
2. Remember a time in your life when you felt happy about yourself.
Go back to your life and go to a time when you were happy with your body. Maybe this was a high school or college. Anytime, just close your eyes and remember how you felt. Let these good feelings shine within you.
3. Write down what you like about yourself now.
Take out a piece of paper and write down everything you like about yourself: your legs, your eyebrows, your smile, your hair, etc. The key here is to focus on your interests instead of on your own. Start appreciating what you do that you love about yourself. This will make you feel completely better.
4. Be careful how you carry yourself when you walk.
Do you walk with your head down? Do you shrug your shoulders? Scroll! Start walking and look people in the eye. Raise your head up. Go and hold your shoulders.
5. Start exercising.
If you have not been exercising for a long time, start small. Go for a walk outside on a nice day. If you have a habit of exercising, keep it up and change your routine so that you do not tire out. When you exercise, you start to feel good about yourself, even if it is 15 minutes. Start small and work your way up.
6. Associate with specific people.
Look for the people closest to you. Are they upright or wicked? Chances are, if they are negative, this attitude will show you and your attitude. Try to reduce your time with any criticism, as this will make you feel bad about yourself. You will focus on the things you don’t like about yourself.
Start feeling good about yourself and learn to accept them. Gradually you will notice the changes that have taken place. Learn to be on your side rather than constantly arguing. Put your shoulders back and stop thinking about what you are not. Love the person you are and the person you become.
