As a writer/writer/editor/web designer, etc., I find that in order to "go" my business, I need to refocus or change direction from time to time to stay relevant and profitable. Must in which my business is progressing. . If you run your own business, you've probably learned to do the same. If not, you may be missing out on some important trends that could affect your bottom line. Please continue reading for some helpful advice on how you can set achievable goals for your enterprise.
My business is always in a state of flux. Sometimes, web design is a hot item while other times article writing is at the top of my to-do list. Various other competing responsibilities including advertising, resume design, and special projects. My job isn't boring, but if I don't have a firm grip on my myriad duties, I can find myself going in the wrong direction without warning. . It can be both a career killer and a financial disaster.
Some of the goals I make for myself are specific, such as writing personal finance articles, while others are general, such as the following goals I recently made to provide even better service to my clients. are:
1. I will do the best job for you and at a competitive price.
2. I will act for you as if it matters to me. Because it does.
3. Your success is my success. If you do well, I do well. If your project fails, so have I.
Of course, more general goals give you more room to move [and breathe!] while specific, fixed goals are just that: immovable. You will either reach your goals or you will fail. There is no middle ground!
So, why not do both? Have specific goals that you know you must achieve and general goals that you can accomplish, but can also be made up on the fly. Divide your goals into those that should be placed in a specific way into one category, while placing the rest into another, more fluid category.
If you give yourself some wiggle room, you're more likely to achieve your goals. If you don't, you'll quickly become disinterested, lose sight of your goals, and your business and your customers will suffer the consequences.
Article Writing And Article Marketing Basics:
Want to know how to increase your website's publicity in a sure and stable way? You may not realize it but many website operators use the same trick to generate traffic for doing virtually nothing.
which one? Write content-rich and focused articles and submit them to directory sites, other people's sites, and ezines. This process is called article writing and article marketing.
Now, why would an ezine publisher or website owner want to post your targeted articles on their websites or use your articles for their mailing lists? The answer is that many cannot produce content that is specific and focused. And lots of high-quality content helps drive traffic to their sites and loyal subscribers to their mailing lists.
This is where your essay comes in. In exchange for a byline and a link to your site (called a "reverse box"), you give website owners permission to use your content as-is. No one is allowed to make any changes to your article without your permission.
Here are some other benefits to article writing and article marketing:
* Earn "Expert" status when you share your knowledge and expertise. Just look at newspaper columnists. You appear like an expert when your articles are posted in a couple of article directory websites and when you write on different topics related to the same niche area.
* You can do some nifty pre-selling. This is especially so if your article appeals to a specific audience that is hungry for certain information. That way, when they click on your site you've already presented yourself.
* You get more links to your site. After that, you will be able to increase your search engine positioning just by your "link popularity". Once your article is posted on another person's website or article directory, it is likely to stay there for a long time.
* You are providing a great tool to help your affiliates. Your affiliates will likely promote you more often and more effectively than those who do not provide such support.
* It's also great for building an opt-in email list. Statistics show that on average, a potential buyer visits your website seven times before clicking an order. A steady stream of emails (with her permission) at regular intervals can help break down "defenses" and build rapport. Additionally, once a relationship is established, back-end sales or selling other products and services becomes easier.
So, do you have to be a writer to write? Absolutely not. You just need to remember two simple rules:
* Keep your thoughts down naturally. Just like how you would explain the subject to a friend over a cup of tea.
* Write simply. Bad grammar doesn't help. Complex sentences and phrases that go on forever may not help you get your message across. So make your article easy to read.
Now, what's the easiest way to start writing? Think about the main problems your audience is likely to have and then write an article that provides a solution. Here are some great examples to help you get started with your writing:
