Big Bash League

The Big Bash League is Australia's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition. It was established in 2011, and the first season was played later that year. The BBL replaced the now defunct KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, which ran from 2003-2009.

The league's format consists of a double round-robin followed by finals, including a final four tournament at the end of the season featuring the top four teams from the round-robin stage. The winner of this final four tournament then wins the overall title for that year's BBL.

Vs England 2015

With the recent victory over England in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Rohit Sharma has risen to a new level of fame and is on top of the world. With this win, he became India's second-highest run scorer in ODI cricket. This innings has been considered as his best performance so far. The highlight of his innings was when he scored an unbeaten 109 off 86 balls against England in 2015. He also managed to score a match-winning fifty at the ICC World T20 2014 against Pakistan.

Vs Sri Lanka 2015

The 2015 World Cup seemed as though it would be a repeat of the 2011 World Cup for India. Despite being one-nil up in the match, Sri Lanka won in the end by seven wickets. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were two of the batting giants for India this game, but it was Rohit who shined brightest in the absence of MS Dhoni.

In his innings of 116 not out, he showcased all that is great about him as a player. He is at his best when he is given time to play himself in and he can do so without much pressure on him or his team.

ODI Series 2015 (vs South Africa)

After being dropped from the side following a string of poor performances, Rohit Sharma returned to the Indian ODI squad in 2015. His return was thoroughly deserved, given his excellent performance throughout the series.

In total, Rohit had six innings with three fifties and one hundred. It was his century that proved to be his best performance in international cricket yet. The hundred came on 20th January against South Africa, where he scored 106 runs off just 107 balls (4 fours). With this century, he became only the fifth batsman for India to score an ODI hundred at number five position. He also became the first player from India to score a century on debut as a number five batsman.

Vs Pakistan 2014/2015

In the last two years, Rohit has had many memorable performances against Pakistan. However, his performance in the ODI series between India and Pakistan in December 2014-January 2015 is arguably his best.

Against Pakistan at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 20th December 2014, Rohit smashed a record 264* off 173 balls. This was not only the first double-century scored by an Indian batsman against Pakistan but also the first such score ever made by any batsman at this ground. He then went on to score 133 runs off 106 balls on 23rd January 2015 which helped India win by 6 wickets and take a 3-0 lead in the 5 match series.
