This year, the singer and beauty mogul cemented her title as a self-made mogul when Kylie Jenner recently passed her on the list of the richest self-made women in America, Forbes reported Thursday. Jenner's net worth is $900 million, placing her at No. 5 on the list of richest self-made women in America.
RiRi, on the other hand, is a mere $160 million short of Kylie.
The roster of young female entrepreneurs on the list includes 22-year-old "Shark Tank" star Barbara Corcoran and 26-year-old Susan J. Fowler.
Rihanna has also become the youngest self-made female billionaire ever, according to Forbes. She bested L'Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt, who was the previous youngest self-made billionaire. Liliane's net worth is $41.5 billion, which is $15.3 billion less than Rihanna's.
Fans will remember RiRi's philanthropic efforts as part of her #FentyXParkland effort after the Parkland school shooting.
"Because I want women everywhere to feel strong and confident in their own skin, I wear Fenty Beauty to promote women's emancipation." she said in a video promoting the line. "The #FentyxParkland campaign is about creating a new generation of activists. We all have to be activists in our own way, right? And what better way to do that than to show our love and support for one another?"
And just last month, Rihanna was named the "most influential" celebrity of 2018 by Time magazine.
"Notoriety is currency for some, but for Rihanna, notoriety is priceless," Time's report read. "In pop culture, she's built an empire on not only sonic bravado, but a laser focus on chic fashion, glossy celebrity photos, record sales, and great big global brand deals."
The publication noted that her fans "rank as one of the most devoted in the world," so it was no surprise she landed the title.
Don't think Rihanna isn't aware of her own influence, though.
"What do you think? You think that this impact is deserved? Don't you feel that way? Don't you feel that way about yourself?" she asked a reporter during an interview.
The "Love on the Brain" singer is already committed to using her money to help out those less fortunate.
"When you get to a certain age and you start getting to hear, like, the things that's going on in the world, you want to be more of a figure that people can really be inspired by and you feel that more as an entrepreneur," she said. "So I definitely do more than I did when I was just out here hustling my friends for beats and trying to make a name for myself."
She said she always thought about utilizing her money to help someone else. She believes it is simple to prioritize the wrong things, miss life's true meaning, and comprehend what it means to be living.
The list also included Whitney Wolfe Herd, Taylor Swift, and Beyonce, whose net worths were 570 million, 450 million, and 740 million dollars, respectively. Kylie was also included on the list for the fifth week in a row.
According to Forbes, Rihanna is the only woman under 40 on this year's list of female billionaires in the U.S., as well as the co-owner of Fenty Beauty and the owner of a 30% share in her Savage x Fenty lingerie brand. She is also the first billionaire from her home Barbados.
Her financial worth could soon increase as well. The singer, who just had her first kid with A$AP Rocky, has hinted that she is working on some new songs.
